  • Publication number: 20140174386
Abstract: A camshaft adjusting device of an internal combustion engine having two camshafts supported concentrically to one another, the axial position of the outer camshaft being determined by an axial bearing and the outer camshaft interacting with a sealing cover of an adjusting apparatus. A first cam is rotationally fixed to the outer camshaft. A second cam is rotationally fixed to the inner camshaft, which can be rotated relative to the outer camshaft by the adjusting apparatus, wherein the inner camshaft has a locking contour on at least one section of the outside of the inner camshaft, which locking contour engages in a form-closed manner in a mating contour on at least one section of the inside of the outer camshaft in order to fix the axial position of the inner camshaft relative to the outer camshaft.

  • Patent number: 8519207
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the hydrogenation, in particular selective hydrogenation of at least one unsaturated hydrocarbon compound comprising reacting the at least one unsaturated hydrocarbon compound with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, wherein the hydrogenation catalyst comprises a mixture of an ordered intermetallic compound and an inert material. According to another aspect, the present invention is concerned with the use of a mixture of at least one ordered intermetallic compound and at least one inert material, as a catalyst. The mixtures for use as a catalyst in the present invention can be prepared easily and achieve a superior activity in relation to the prior art, while preserving the high selectivity to the target compounds, e.g. in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene to ethylene.

  • Patent number: 8375907
Abstract: A camshaft adjusting system of an internal combustion engine, which has a rotor, a stator, and first and second concentrically arranged camshafts one of which is driven by the stator and the other one of which is driven by the rotor. The camshafts can be rotated relative to one another to change phase angles of at least one cam on the first of the camshafts relative to at least one cam on the second of the camshafts. Hydraulic vane cells between the stator and the rotor control the rotation of the rotor relative to the stator. The total difference in the shapes and positions of the camshafts is smaller than bearing gaps of at least one bearing point between the rotor and the stator, and sealing elements which can be adjusted to the bearing gaps are provided in the bearing gaps between the rotor and the stator.

  • Publication number: 20120085304
Abstract: A cam shaft adjuster for adjusting the angle-of-rotation positions of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft. The cam shaft adjuster has at least two operating chambers to which pressure oil can be supplied to change the angle-of-rotation position. At least one of the operating chambers can be deactivated depending on an operating parameter by blocking the pressure oil supply.

  • Patent number: 7886704
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for the variable setting of control times of gas exchange valves (9a, 9b) of an internal combustion engine (1), having an inner rotor (23) and an outer rotor (22) which is arranged such that it can rotate relative to the former, and the inner rotor (22) has a constant phase relationship to a crankshaft (2) of the internal combustion engine (1). The apparatus (10) has one or more coupling elements (44), into which a drive shaft (12) of an additional assembly (11) can engage, and wherein torque can be transmitted from the apparatus (10) to the drive shaft (12) by the coupling element (44) or coupling elements (44). It is provided here to connect the coupling element (44) or coupling elements (44) fixedly in terms of rotation to the inner rotor (23) or to configure it/them in one piece with the inner rotor.

  • Publication number: 20100261939
Abstract: The present invention pertains to methods of preparing optionally supported, ordered intermetallic palladium gallium compounds, and the corresponding, optionally supported, intermetallic palladium gallium compounds obtainable by these methods. The present invention also pertains to the use of the optionally supported ordered intermetallic palladium gallium compounds as catalysts, such as in selective hydrogenations of alkynes, in particular ethyne, to give the corresponding alkenes. The optionally supported, ordered intermetallic palladium gallium compounds were found to be highly active and selective catalysts in the above hydrogenation reactions.

  • Patent number: 5833311
Abstract: An add-on child seat relates to an add-on child seat comprising a seating surface and a back rest surface for the child. At a distance to these surfaces there is provided an airbag as an impact protection for the child and which, in the case of a collision of the vehicle, is to be released. The airbag is formed as a knob shaped end of a carrier, this carrier extending between the legs of the child and is anchored in the region under the seating surface. With this design, in the case of an accident, the child can be quickly and simply removed from the seat without having to interrupt the mounting parts of the airbag.

  • Patent number: 5743554
Abstract: There is disclosed an airbag arrangement for a vehicle seat, in particular for the rear seat of a motor vehicle. The airbag is so arranged laterally at the end of a carrier which is fastened on the side of the seat or of the back rest, that a person seated neighboring the carrier is essentially protected towards the front by the airbag. The carrier is pivotably mounted about an axis from a rest position into a working position and vise versa, this axis lying approximately parallel to a cutting axis formed between the seat surface and the back rest surface. The carrier together with airbag located thereon, in the rest position, lies in a recess in the seat surface or back rest surface, flushly closed with this surface.
