  • Patent number: 4330927
Abstract: Apparatus for automatically stripping and terminating wires in a continuous manner includes a wheel on which a plurality of insulated wires are located which is mounted for intermittent rotation in a stepwise manner for feeding the wires successively to spaced operating stations, namely to a stripping station where the end region of insulation is stripped from the wires and then to a terminating station where the endmost one of a strip of interconnected terminal contacts is located over the bared end region of the wire, crimped thereto, the terminal contact then being severed from the strip. The stripping station includes a pair of insulation cutters mounted on a cutter holder member which itself is mounted for reciprocating movement in the direction of the axis of the wire located at the stripping location and apparatus for actuating the insulation cutters while gripping the wire.

  • Patent number: 4287748
Abstract: A rotary transfer press apparatus wherein a plurality of workpieces are simultaneously and progressively moved over a circular path through a series of working stations which themselves are arranged in a circular path whereby successive operations are performed on each workpiece to obtain a finished product for each cycle of the press.

  • Patent number: 4222163
Abstract: An apparatus and method for assembling articles such as clips, comprising first and second components formed from metallic sheet stock, said apparatus including an outer annular member and second and third dial members mounted within the annular member, the annular and dial members being rotatably mounted in a synchronized manner associated with the cycling of a die press. A pair of article components are punched from a sheet of metallic stock during each press cycle and are pushed through an opening in a die block to be received and held at a receiving station in a horizontal orientation in respective ones of a plurality of clamping assemblies formed in each of the outer annular member and second inner dial member, respectively. A pair of article components are punched on a continuous basis with each press cycle with the successively formed pairs of components being received in successive pairs of clamping assemblies which rotatably index under the die block opening.

  • Patent number: 4211462
Abstract: A unipartite housing for a modular connector for terminating flat cords having a plurality of conductors enclosed within a jacket. The housing has a cord receiving cavity formed therein defining a forward conductor receiving portion and a rearward jacket receiving portion, the conductor receiving portion having a plurality of parallel conductor receiving troughs provided therein. A corresponding plurality of slots are provided in aligned relationship with the troughs which receive flat contact terminals which electrically couple with respective conductors. Jacket and conductor anchoring members are provided in respective openings which communicate with the cord receiving cavity adapted to be pivotally moved into engaging relationship with the jacket and conductors respectively.

  • Patent number: 3991774
Abstract: A hair clip assembled from two pronged members with rearward out-turned handle portions, one member having struck from it along each of its two edges, front and rear arms converging upwardly toward one another and terminating in ends defining respective small gaps, the other member having struck from it respective ears captively disposed in the gaps. One of the members also has struck from it a leaf spring extending rearwardly along its longitudinal axis and engaging a torsion spring struck from the rearward center portion of the other member.
