Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for Uplink (UL) transmission enhancement are provided. The method includes receiving, from a Base Station (BS), a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message including a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) configuration; receiving, from the BS, a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format including at least one of: a first field that indicates an 8-port Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource, a second field that includes an index associated with a precoding matrix transmission, a third field that indicates a first set of parameters for transmitting a first codeword, and a fourth field that indicates a second set of parameters for transmitting a second codeword; determining a precoding matrix based on the DCI format and the PUSCH configuration; and performing a codebook-based PUSCH transmission using the precoding matrix.

Abstract: A method performed by a UE for beam indication in a multiple transmission and reception point (mTRP) operation is provided. The method receives, from a BS, a radio resource control (RRC) configuration for configuring a set of transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. The method receives, from the BS, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that activates one or more TCI states from the set of TCI states. The method receives, from the BS, a downlink control information (DCI) format that includes a TCI selection field indicating a relationship between the activated one or more TCI states and one or more TRPs. The method performs, based on the TCI selection field, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for handling measurement operations in a wireless communication system are provided. A method performed by a User Equipment (UE) includes receiving a first measurement configuration from a first serving cell; performing, in a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) state which is an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state, a first measurement operation based on the first measurement configuration; generating a first measurement result; receiving a first measurement report request from a second serving cell; retaining the first measurement result after the UE transitions from the first RRC state to a second RRC state which is an RRC connected state; and transmitting the first measurement result to the second serving cell, wherein the first serving cell and the first RRC state are associated with a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) and the second serving cell and the second RRC state are associated with a second RAT.

Abstract: A UE and a method for handling UE onboarding are provided. The method includes receiving a first indication, a second indication, and a third indication from a cell via a SIB1, the cell operated by one or more SNPNs; reporting, by an AS layer of the UE, the first indication, the second indication, and the third indication to a NAS layer of the UE; receiving, by the AS layer of the UE, an indication for UE onboarding from the NAS layer of the UE; and transmitting a first RRC message to the cell, the first RRC message including an onboarding request associated with the indication for UE onboarding.

Abstract: A system and a method of random access resource selection are provided. The method includes a target Base Station (BS) transmitting a first Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) to a User Equipment (UE), the first SSB associated with a first contention-free random access resource for the UE to transmit a random access preamble; the target BS transmitting a second SSB to the UE, the second SSB associated with a contention-based random access resource; and in a case that a first Synchronization Signal-Reference Signal Received Power (SS-RSRP) of the first SSB is not greater than an SS-RSRP threshold and a second SS-RSRP of the second SSB is greater than the SS-RSRP threshold, the target BS receiving the random access preamble from the UE using the contention-based random access resource.

Abstract: Methods and devices for event triggered measurement reporting are provided. The method includes determining whether a specific scheduling request (SR) configuration is configured to the UE. In a case that the specific SR configuration is configured to the UE, the method transmits, to a base station (BS), an SR according to the specific SR configuration in response to a fulfillment of a condition. The method receives, from the BS, downlink control information (DCI) indicating a first uplink (UL) resource for transmitting a measurement report, and transmits, to the BS, the measurement report on the first UL resource.

Abstract: A method for a system information (SI) request procedure performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes: receiving a system information block type 1 (SIB1) from a cell; transmitting, to the cell, a first message including a common control channel (CCCH) service data unit (SDU) that includes a radio resource control (RRC) SI request message; receiving, from the cell, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including a UE contention resolution identity; and indicating, by a MAC entity of the UE, reception of an acknowledgment for the RRC SI request message to an RRC entity of the UE after determining that the UE contention resolution identity matches multiple consecutive bits, starting from the most significant bit (MSB), of the CCCH SDU. The SIB1 does not include information related to a Random Access (RA) resource specific to SI requested by the RRC SI request message.

Abstract: A UE and a method for handling SDT are provided. The method includes receiving, from a serving cell, an SDT configuration associated with both an SUL carrier and an NUL carrier; selecting one of the SUL carrier and the NUL carrier as a first operating UL carrier when the UE is triggered to start an SDT procedure and while the UE is in an RRC inactive state; selecting at least one CG resource or at least one RA resource associated with the first operating UL carrier for the SDT procedure as at least one operating UL resource; performing the SDT procedure with the serving cell on the first operating UL carrier by using the at least one UL operating resource associated with the first operating UL carrier; disabling a switching from the first operating UL carrier to the other one of the SUL carrier and the NUL carrier during the SDT procedure.

The method includes receiving, from a Master Cell Group (MCG), a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message comprising at least one Secondary Cell Group (SCG) Data Radio Bearer (DRB) configuration; starting a first timer upon receiving the first RRC message; and stopping the first timer when one of a plurality of conditions is satisfied, wherein the plurality of conditions include: transmitting an RRC reestablishment request message to the MCG; transmitting an SCG Failure Information message to the MCG before the first timer expires; and successfully adding an SCG based on the at least one SCG DRB configuration.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication is provided. The method includes performing a first Medium Access Control (MAC) procedure on a first radio access interface for a first Sidelink (SL) connection between the UE and a target UE of a first destination on a second radio access interface; and releasing or canceling the first MAC procedure in a case that the UE is indicated to perform an MAC reset operation associated with the first SL connection based on at least one triggering event associated with the target UE and the second radio access interface.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for paging monitoring are provided. The method is performed by a user equipment and includes receiving a first paging configuration associated with a first radio access network, receiving a second paging configuration associated with a second radio access network from the first radio access network, monitoring at least one first paging occasion for the first radio access network based on the first paging configuration received from the first radio access network, and monitoring at least one second paging occasion for the second radio access network based on the second paging configuration received from the first radio access network, when the UE switches from a first cell of the first radio access network to camp on a second cell of the second radio access network.

Abstract: A method for monitoring paging is provided. The method is performed by a user equipment (UE) and includes actions of receiving a first Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) addressed to a first Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI), and stopping monitoring a second PDCCH addressed to a second RNTI if the first PDCCH includes a paging stop indicator, where the second RNTI is the same as the first RNTI.

Abstract: A method for requesting a target system information block (SIB) associated with a target service is provided. The method initiates a dedicated SIB request procedure to send, to a serving cell, a request for the target SIB. The method initiates the dedicated SIB request procedure while the UE has stored at least one SIB segment of a plurality of SIB segments associated with the target SIB, and before the target SIB is successfully assembled based on the plurality of SIB segments. The method transmits, to the serving cell, the request for the target SIB to the serving cell and upon the transmission of the request starts a timer, where a second dedicated SIB request procedure is not allowed to be initiated while the timer is running.

Abstract: The embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for maintaining multi-SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) configuration and user equipment (UE). The method includes: receiving, by the UE, a first multi-SIM support information from a first cell, wherein the first multi-SIM support information is generated and transmitted from a second cell to the first cell via an inter-node signaling from the second cell to the first cell, and the first cell and the second cell belong to a first network; transmitting, by the UE, a multi-SIM assistance information message to the second cell, wherein the multi-SIM assistance information message is determined based on the first multi-SIM support information.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a method performed by the UE are provided. The method includes transitioning from a radio resource control (RRC) inactive (RRC_INACTIVE) state to an RRC idle (RRC_IDLE) state upon determining that the UE has failed to find a suitable cell and camped on an acceptable cell; and discarding a radio access network (RAN) notification area (RNA) configuration that comprises at least one of a list of tracking area identities (IDs) or a list of RAN area IDs in response to the transitioning from the RRC_INACTIVE state to the RRC_IDLE state. The acceptable cell fulfills a minimum set of requirements to initiate an emergency call and to receive one or more Earthquake & Tsunami Warning System (ETWS) and Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) notifications. The suitable cell provides normal services. The acceptable cell provides limited services.

Abstract: A method, a communication apparatus using the method, and a base station apparatus are disclosed. The method includes arranging user equipment to receive a downlink control channel signal associated with a physical downlink control channel; and configuring the user equipment to monitor the physical downlink control channel for control-resource set information. The control-resource set information corresponds to time and frequency resource allocation information related to the physical downlink control channel. The control-resource set information includes at least one parameter.

Abstract: A method for LBT failure detection performed by a UE is provided. The method includes: receiving, by a MAC entity of the UE, an LBT failure indication from a lower layer for all UL transmissions; increasing an LBT failure counter when the MAC entity receives the LBT failure indication; determining an LBT failure event occurs when the LBT failure counter is greater than or equal to a threshold; and resetting the LBT failure counter after the MAC entity has not received the LBT failure indication for a time period.

Abstract: A method for a user equipment (UE) for cell selection while the UE is in a radio resource control (RRC) Inactive state is provided. The method receives, via control signaling, a configuration indicating a target frequency carrier and a corresponding target core network (CN) type. The method then causes the UE to transition from an RRC Connected state to the RRC Inactive state based on the received configuration. While the UE is in the RRC Inactive state, the method selects a suitable cell among a plurality of suitable cells that are associated with the target frequency carrier. The method selects the suitable cell irrespective of the received target CN type.

Abstract: A method performed by a UE for saving power is provided. The method includes: receiving, from a Base Station (BS), control information that includes a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) monitoring adaptation field, wherein the PDCCH monitoring adaptation field indicates a PDCCH skipping function; and monitoring, regardless of the PDCCH skipping function indicated by the PDCCH monitoring adaptation field, a PDCCH in a case that a Scheduling Request (SR) is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) and is determined to be pending.
