  • Publication number: 20230405571
Abstract: A catalyst is provided for fuel reformation with its preparation method. The catalyst is an oxide catalyst of nickel (Ni), lanthanum (La), and cerium (Ce); and is loaded on a honeycomb support substrate. The catalyst comprises an oxide layer of Ni and La; and an oxide layer of Ce between the honeycomb support substrate and the oxide layer of Ni and La. The oxide layer of Ni and La comprises a 10˜20 weight percent (wt %) of Ni and a 1˜20 wt % of rare earth element La. The oxide layer of Ce comprises a 1˜20 wt % of rare earth element Ce. The present invention is applied to solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) for enhancing the methane conversion rate, heightening the reliability and durability of long-term operation, and improving the energy use efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20160375425
Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating a carrier catalyst. The carrier catalyst uses an annular carrier of ?-alumina (?—Al2O3). The annular carrier of ?—Al2O3 has stable activity. By analyzing characteristics and methane conversion rates of catalysts with different compositions, a solution for solving carbon deposition is found. Cerium oxide (CeO2) is used as an accelerator and platinum (Pt) nano-particles are used as catalyzer. The above components are impregnated and coated on the annular carrier of ?—Al2O3. Thus, an annular-carrier catalyst of Pt/CBO2/?—Al2O3 is formed. Therein, the present invention uses carbon nanotubes before calcining the annular carrier catalyst. Consequently, its microstructure is modified to obtain a surface area of 130 square meters per gram and an average pore size of 12.585 angstroms. Preferably, 0.5 percents of platinum nano-particles are to be added into the carrier catalyst to achieve a 79% methane conversion rate even after 25 hours of reformation reaction.

  • Publication number: 20110000432
Abstract: A non-thermal plasma reactor includes a reactor chamber, a first electrode unit disposed in the top portion of chamber and a second electrode unit disposed in the bottom of the chamber, so that a plasma treatment region is defined between the first and second electrode units. The first electrode unit includes at least one or arrays of dual discharging-electrode structure embedded in an isolating layer. A high-voltage power supply is connected to the first and second electrode units. An external gas introducing unit is used to allow auxiliary gas into the plasma reaction region so that arrays of dual discharging-electrode structure can enhance the gas discharge process and thus promote the plasma assisted chemical reaction for cleaning purpose.

  • Publication number: 20100193419
Abstract: There is disclosed a normal-pressure plasma-based apparatus for processing waste water by mixing the waste water with working gas. The apparatus includes a waste water supply, a gas supply, a plasma-based processing unit connected to both of the waste water supply and the gas supply, a reservoir connected to the plasma-based processing unit and a washing tower connected to both of the reservoir and the plasma-based processing unit. The plasma-based processing unit and the washing tower are used together to mix the waste water with the working gas at least twice. The plasma-based processing unit produces active substances to decompose organic compounds and eliminate the colors of the organic compounds. Thus, performance in processing the waste water is excellent while the consumption of time and energy is low.
