  • Publication number: 20240099504
Abstract: Various aspects include devices, systems, and methods for heat-retention cooking with a heat-retention cooker including a lid, rider rod, and an upper heat-retaining member. The lid is configured to sit on top of a lower heat-retaining member such that a lower rim of the lid is configured to engage an upper surface of the lower heat-retaining member and together the lid and the lower heat-retaining member are configured to form a cooking chamber there between. The lid and the lower heat-retaining member block substantially all airflow into the cooking chamber. The riser rod extends through a top of the lid into the cooking chamber. A position of the riser rod relative to the lid is adjustable between at least a lower position and a higher position. Movement of the riser rod raises or lowers the upper heat-retaining member.

  • Patent number: 11940817
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for open path laser spectroscopy with mobile platforms. An example system may include a first mobile platform and a second mobile platform, each of which supports a payload. A light beam directed from one payload to another may define a measurement path, which may be at a particular height above the ground. The payloads may determine a gas concentration along the measurement path. Wind information at the measurement height may be used to determine a gas flux. One or both of the mobile platforms may then move to a new location, and take a measurement along a new measurement path. By combining the measurement paths, gas flux through a flux surface may be determined.

  • Publication number: 20240095924
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for minimizing retinal exposure to flash during image gathering for diagnosis. In an embodiment, a system captures a plurality of retinal images of different retinal regions. The system determines that a first portion of a first image does not meet a criterion while a second portion of the first image does meet the criterion, identifies a portion of the retina depicted in the first portion that does not meet the criterion, and determines whether the portion of the retina is depicted in a third portion of a second image and whether the third portion meets the criterion. Responsive to determining that the third portion meets the criterion, the system performs the diagnosis. Responsive to determining that the portion of the retina is not depicted in the second image, the system captures an additional image of the retinal region.

  • Publication number: 20240095404
Abstract: Data integrity checks for reducing communication latency is described. A transmitting endpoint transmits data to a receiving endpoint by generating an integrity tag for a first subset of data blocks and a second integrity tag for a second subset of data blocks. In implementations, the first and second integrity tags overlap at least one data block and are offset based on computational complexities of generating the integrity tags. A receiving endpoint generates comparison tags for each of the integrity tags and uses the comparison tags to validate an authenticity of received data. In response to validating the first and second integrity tags, data blocks covered by both the first and second integrity tags are released for use. Additional integrity tags are generated and validated for subsequent subsets of data blocks during data communication, thus reducing latency by offsetting times at which comparison tags are generated and validated.

  • Patent number: 11934311
Abstract: Various embodiments include a system for managing cache memory in a computing system. The system includes a sectored cache memory that provides a mechanism for sharing sectors in a cache line among multiple cache line allocations. Traditionally, different cache line allocations are assigned to different cache lines in the cache memory. Further, cache line allocations may not use all of the sectors of the cache line, leading to low utilization of the cache memory. With the present techniques, multiple cache lines share the same cache line, leading to improved cache memory utilization relative to prior techniques. Further, sectors of cache allocations can be assigned to reduce data bank conflicts when accessing cache memory. Reducing such data bank conflicts can result in improved memory access performance, even when cache lines are shared with multiple allocations.
