  • Publication number: 20210075978
Abstract: Near infrared imaging is highly complementary to colour imaging having a wide range of applications. For example, in health applications, the near infrared can provide biomolecular information on tissue that is not apparent under visual examination nor from the inspection of colour images of tissue. Thus, there is utility in viewing both visible color and near infrared images in combination. Described herein are methods to perform visible and near infrared imaging as well as hybrid visible color and near infrared imaging with a single conventional color filter array RGB sensor. The methods automatically provide spatially co-registered color and near infrared images and the methods can be used as the basis for a multispectral or hyperspectral imaging system.

  • Patent number: 10412094
Abstract: A system for providing privileged access to an internal vehicle communication network is provided. The system includes a presentation network bus configured to provide listen-only access to a subset of in-vehicle networks, a security system configured to enable access to the presentation network bus by verifying access credentials, and a diagnostic service system configured to control access to the presentation network bus. The diagnostic service system is configured to receive a diagnostic service request after the access credentials have been verified to enable the presentation network busses for listen-only access to the subset of the in-vehicle networks. The presentation network busses may be enabled for the listen-only access after credential verification by the security system and in response to receipt of a diagnostic service request from the diagnostic service system requesting that the presentation network busses be enabled.

  • Patent number: 9600372
Abstract: A system and method for determining when to reset a controller in response to a bus off state. The method includes determining that the controller has entered a first bus off state and immediately resetting the controller. The method further includes setting a reset timer in response to the controller being reset, determining whether the controller has entered a subsequent bus off state, and determining whether a reset time. The method immediately resets the controller in response to the subsequent bus off state if the reset time is greater than the first predetermined time interval, and resets the controller in response to the subsequent bus off state after a second predetermined time interval has elapsed if the reset time is less than the first predetermined time interval.

  • Publication number: 20090071503
Abstract: A method and device for treating substrates, and a nozzle unit therefore. A liquid film is formed on a local surface area of a substrate that is to be treated by means of a nozzle unit comprised of at least on elongated nozzle arrangement and an ultrasonic or megasonic transducer arrangement disposed adjacent to the nozzle arrangement. The transducer arrangement is composed of a plurality of transducers having different resonant frequencies. At least a portion of the transducer arrangement is brought into contact with the liquid film, and ultrasound or megasound is introduced into the liquid film by the transducer arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7239946
Abstract: A method for diagnosis of a vehicle includes monitoring a first plurality of distributed sensor signals input to a first control unit, monitoring a second plurality of distributed sensor signals input to a second control unit, determining a first diagnostic trouble code (first DTC) at a first instant of time, determining a second DTC at a second instant of time, storing a first dataset in a first storage media and storing the second DTC in the first dataset. The second instant of time is within a predetermined time of the first instant of time. The first dataset corresponds to the first instant in time, and the stored first dataset is transferred to a remote fault-diagnostic module at a later instant of time. The first dataset includes the first DTC, a predetermined first group of sensor signals associated with either the first or second control unit, and the second DTC.

  • Patent number: 7092937
Abstract: A method for vehicle diagnostic knowledge delivery comprising receiving a search request from a user system and accessing a database of case records in response to the search request. Each of the case records includes a case-record number attribute, a set of vehicle-description attributes, a set of bookkeeping attributes, a set of system attributes, a set of symptom attributes, and a set of action attributes. The method further comprises searching the database of case records for a case record responsive to the search request. If a case record responsive to the search request is located, it is transmitted to the user system.

  • Publication number: 20060155193
Abstract: A non-invasive method of characterizing burn injuries using near infrared spectroscopy is described. In the method, a beam of light is emitted into the burnt tissue portion at two or more different tissue depths. The spectra are then compared using multivariate analysis to determine diagnostic regions of the spectra. This information is used to categorize the burn. In some cases, the diagnostic regions correspond to wavelengths related to the hemodynamics of the tissue portion. The spectra can also be repeated over time, thereby allowing trends and changes in the spectra to be measured. This data is in turn used to categorize the burn as either a superficial burn, partial thickness burn, deep partial burn or a full thickness burn. Once the burn has been categorized, the clinician can intervene as needed to treat the burn.
