    Abstract: A high-resistance sensor. The sensor includes a first low-resistance material and a second low-resistance material, each connected with a base material. The first low-resistance material and the second low-resistance material are separated by a gap. A stimulus causes the first low-resistance material and the second low-resistance to move toward each other. A high-resistance material is positioned within the gap intermediate the first low-resistance material and the second low-resistance material. The high-resistance material increases the resistance of a circuit formed by contact between the first low-resistance material and the second low-resistance material when the sensor is subject to the stimulus.

The conductive material extends across the surface area of the base substrate in multiple individual connections, which are in communication with each other and separated by voids in the conductive material for mitigating communication failure between the termination point and the interface during or following flexion, stretching, compression or other deformation of the base substrate and the circuit package. The termination point may include an input module such as a sensor, switch or other input. The termination point may include an output module such as a light, vibrator or other output. The interface may include an output interface for receiving data or an input interface for sending a command or other signal.

    Abstract: A method and system for heterogeneous event detection. Sensor data is obtained and divided into discrete data windows. Each data window is defined by and corresponds to a time period of the sensor data. A time-frequency representation over the time period is calculated for each data window. A filter mask is calculated based on the data window corresponding to the time-frequency representation. The filter mask is applied for reverting the time-frequency representation to a time representation, resulting in filtered data. Features, such as extrema or other inflection points, are identified in the filtered data. The features define events, and transforming the time-frequency representation back into the time domain emphasizes differences between more and less prominent frequencies, facilitating identification of heterogeneous events. The method and system may be applied to body movements of people or animals, automaton movement, audio signals, light intensity, or any suitable time-dependent variable.

    Abstract: A method and system for activity classification. A pressure sensor receives input data resulting from physical activity of a subject performing an activity. The input data includes pressure data from at least one pressure sensor, and may include other data acquired through other types of sensors. A deep learning neural network is applied to the input data for identifying the activity. The neural network is trained with reference to training data from a training database. The training data may include empirical data from a database of previous data of corresponding activities, synthesized data prepared from the empirical data or simulated data. The training data may include data from physical activity of the subject being monitored by the system. Different aspects of the neural network may be trained with reference to the training data, and some aspects may be locked or opened depending on the application and the circumstances.

During a partial tracking phase, input of the first sampling capacitor is connected to the reference voltage and the input of the second sampling capacitor is connected to the analog input signal. The first hold capacitor is connected to a first output of a gain amplifier and the second hold capacitor to a second output of the gain amplifier. Output of the first sampling capacitor is coupled to a first input of an amplifier and output of the second sampling capacitor is coupled to a second input of the amplifier.

    Abstract: In a described example, a method includes: applying a dicing tape over a metal layer covering a portion of a surface of scribe streets on a device side of a semiconductor wafer that includes semiconductor device dies formed thereon separated from one another by the scribe streets; and placing the semiconductor wafer with the device side facing away from a laser in a stealth dicing machine. A power of a laser beam is adjusted to a first power level. The laser beam is focused through the non-device side of the semiconductor wafer to a first focal depth in the metal layer. The laser beam scans across the scribe streets and ablates the metal layer in the scribe streets. The method continues by singulating the semiconductor device dies using stealth dicing along the scribe streets in the stealth dicing machine.

The insert jacket segment is joined along a longitudinal slit and ends of the insert jacket segment are attached to the base jacket. The circuit board can transmit signals external to the system to trigger an alert being issued to a user, based on an output of the sensor array.

    Abstract: A system and method for measuring resistance over an array. The array includes at least three electrodes. Nodes at each intersection between input electrodes and output electrodes have variable resistance. A driving voltage is applied to a selected input electrode and an output current is received at a selected output electrode. A selected node is at the intersection of the two selected electrodes and includes an electrical component with a resistive property. Remaining electrodes are connected with a ground for isolating the selected node from the effects of changes in impedance of the remaining nodes. The driving voltage is converted to an output current by resistance at the selected node. The output current is converted to an output voltage with a current-to-voltage converter circuit for measuring the resistance of the electrical component. The nodes may be measured as the selected node in sequential or non-sequential patterns.
