  • Patent number: 7695202
Abstract: A housing for mounting a laser diode and a method of aligning the laser diode to the housing and to an optical connector and to a focusing lens. The housing may have a retaining device and a surface, with the retaining device operating to maintain the optical connector against the surface of the housing. An alignment method is disclosed for use with the housing and the retaining device where an image is projected onto a viewing area through an alignment port mounted in the housing. The image relates to the position and tilt of the laser diode in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5720664
Abstract: A practice targeting and shooting system having a laser emitter and a light detector which is attachable to a shotgun. Reusable, reflective disc-like targets are launched by a thrower. The shooter arms the shotgun and actuates the emitter. If a predetermined portion of the light beam strikes the target, it is reflected and sensed by the detector which registers a "hit" by a suitable audible and/or visual signal.

  • Patent number: 5618099
Abstract: A sighting device positionable in the end of the bore of a shotgun which emits a beam of light which simulates a shot pattern. The device has a tubular body which is held in the bore by a biasing spring. The body includes a light source, preferably a laser diode, which emits a beam. The beam may be focused at an adjustable lens and may be adjusted so the beam of light is aligned with the axis of the bore. An actuating switch may be secured to a finger of the user or to the shotgun.
