  • Patent number: 10752186
Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a quarter panel assembly. The quarter panel assembly includes an inner quarter panel and an outer quarter panel located outboard of the inner quarter panel forming a volume therebetween. The outer quarter panel has a vent opening extending therethrough. A quarter vent assembly is connected to the outer quarter panel covering the vent opening. An exterior fascia covers the quarter vent assembly such that an air gap is provided between the quarter vent assembly and the exterior fascia. A service hole cover is located in the volume between the inner quarter panel and the outer quarter panel. The service hole cover includes a cover body and a noise reduction flange at a bottom of the cover body that extends inboard toward the inner quarter panel at the vent opening.

  • Patent number: 10744847
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for a control system that improves defroster performance in a vehicle by reducing rear heater core heat rejection to increase heat availability to the defroster. The control system includes a rear heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit configured that moves air into the vehicle. The control system 100 includes a memory for storing multiple blower maps. The control system includes an electronic control unit connected to the rear HVAC unit and memory. The electronic control unit is configured to determine a mode for a front HVAC. The electronic control unit is configured to obtain from the memory a blower map for the rear HVAC unit from the multiple blower maps based on the mode. The electronic control unit is configured to determine an airflow rate for the air based on the obtained blower map and control an amount of air outputted.

  • Patent number: 10738234
Abstract: The phenomena of nutrient adsorption are utilised to enhance nutrient bioavailability and enhance methanogenesis efficiency. Thus methods for avoiding or reversing such adsorption or utilising the phenomena in a way favourable to promotion of methanogenesis in a formation, for example, through desorption of bound nutrients, or adsorption competing bacteria nutrients or methanogen toxicants, etc., are provided herein.

  • Patent number: 10225709
Abstract: A system and method of enabling a wireless device that has no directly accessible wireless Internet connection at a given location to make a data connection through a neighboring different wireless device that does have directly accessible wireless Internet connection, to connect to the Internet. Specifically such indirect Internet connection does not require any authorization from any such other device, such as a server, other than between both wireless devices and additionally the wireless device that has no directly accessible wireless Internet connection does not require any credits from the wireless network to which the wireless device that does have directly accessible wireless Internet connection is connected to.

  • Patent number: 9591551
Abstract: A wireless device can initiate a network connection without using a network operator's home location register. The wireless device sends data to a server that defines a call request; and the server decides on the appropriate routing over all available networks for that call request. But, unlike a conventional HLR, the server can receive communications from the device using any one of several different protocols, and is not limited to the MAP (mobile application part) protocol. For example, the wireless device can use SMS or HTTP over the internet to communicate with the server. The server then determines the appropriate least cost routing.

  • Patent number: 9532208
Abstract: A wireless device includes a single SIM, plus an application module adapted to enable the device to operate as though it included two or more different SIMs. The module, referred to as a ‘proprietary applications module’ (PAM) is connected to, or built into, a wireless device (WD). The PAM is capable of switching all incoming traffic by associating the WD to one specific subscriber identity sub-module, referred to as “Local SIM” (LS). It can also switch or re-route all outgoing traffic by associating the same WD with a different subscriber identity sub-module, typically a “Roaming SIM” (RS). In a preferred embodiment, the PAM, RS and LS are built-into a single SIM for use in a WD; alternatively the PAM is built-into a WD and the RS and LS are built-into the single SIM.

  • Publication number: 20150057045
Abstract: A virtual wireless network including a server running a home location register (HLR), the home location register being associated solely with a virtual wireless network operator that does not have any licensed frequency spectrum, but provides wireless services to a subscriber by using the wireless basestations of a wireless network operator that does have licensed frequency spectrum.
