  • Publication number: 20120265585
Abstract: A system and methods using applications for entry and exit from registered locations, where a registered location has an associated geo-fence of any size or shape. A registered location may be mobile or stationary. An internet-connected device running an app transmits the current geographic location of the device, and a remote processing center executes a default action when finding correspondence between the geo-fence of a registered location and the current geographic information of an end user's device, and in one embodiment, the default action may be to enter and pay for parking at a registered location.

  • Patent number: 8166009
Abstract: A method, computer program product and data processing system for optimistic locking. An integer column is added to a database table. A Structured Query Language statement is constructed and prepared to form a prepared Structured Query Language statement, wherein a result set of the prepared Structured Query Language statement includes the integer column. Any required parameter information is set in the prepared Structured Query Language statement. The prepared Structured Query Language statement is executed in a database transaction. A unique key associated with an element of the result set of the prepared Structured Query Language statement is determined. The row of the database table that the unique key is associated with is determined. A value in the integer column of the determined row is determined. The value in the integer column of the determined row is stored to form a stored value associated with the unique key, wherein the stored value ceases to exist when the database transaction ends.

  • Patent number: 7782380
Abstract: Surface generation and positional gain adjustment techniques for an imager are described. Embodiments of the techniques use zones having flexible boundaries which can be reconfigured depending upon the type of lens being used in a given application. Each pixel within each zone is multiplied by a correction factor dependent upon the particular zone while the pixel is being read out from the array. The correction factors comprise coefficients that are different for each color channel and in some instances different for each corner of each color channel.

  • Publication number: 20090175556
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems for storing approximations of multiple spatial pixel value adjustment surfaces for use in pixel value correction. The adjustment surfaces may be used for positional gain adjustment. A representation of the multiple adjustment surfaces is stored as coefficients representing a multi-dimensional solid of two-dimensional adjustment surfaces. The stored coefficients are used to determine a plurality of additional sets of coefficients which sets are then in turn used to determine pixel correction values of adjustment surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20090040371
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses are disclosed for approximating vertical and horizontal correction values in a pixel value correction calculation. Multiple vertical and/or horizontal correction curves are used and may be employed for one or more color channels of the imager. The use of multiple correction curves allows for a more accurate approximation of the correction curves for image pixels.

  • Publication number: 20080278613
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems are disclosed for providing pixel value corrections in accordance with the focal length of a variable focal length lens used to capture an image. Two or more adjustment surfaces, each corresponding to a focal length of said lens, are stored. If an image is captured using a focal length of the lens which does not correspond to a stored adjustment surface, an interpolated or extrapolated adjustment surface is determined and applied to a captured image.

  • Publication number: 20070151428
Abstract: A woodworking lathe tool adapted to receive a replaceable, indexable carbide cutting insert. A screw or other fastening means may be employed to releasably fasten a cutting insert, including at least a carbide portion, to the distal end of a tool shank. The tool allows the user to quickly release and index the cutting insert and continue using it as before, extending the useful life of the carbide insert. When all cutting surfaces have been worn, the insert can be replaced, eliminating the inconvenience and cost associated with sharpening tools.
