  • Publication number: 20160079019
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention includes a phase-change material switch. The switch includes a first terminal that receives an input signal and a second terminal. The switch includes an actuation portion that receives a control signal in one of a first state to emit a first heat profile and a second state to emit a second heat profile. The switch further includes a switch portion comprising a phase-change material arranged as a plurality of longitudinal strips that each interconnect the first terminal and the second terminal and that are each in proximity with the actuation portion. The phase-change material can be selectable between a conducting state in response to the first heat profile to conduct an input signal from the first terminal to the second terminal and a blocking state in response to the second heat profile to block the input signal from the first terminal to the second terminal.

  • Publication number: 20150208113
Abstract: Example systems, methods and machine readable media are disclosed. An example system includes a synchronizer to determine a total amount to offset first-neuro-response data gathered from a subject exposed to media to align the first neuro-response data with second neuro-response data simultaneously gathered from the subject. The first neuro-response data is associated with a first sensory component of the media and the second neuro-response data is associated with a second sensory component of the media. The total amount to offset is based on a first cognitive delay associated with the first neuro-response data and a second cognitive delay associated with the second neuro-response data. The synchronizer is to time shift at least one of the first neuro-response data or the second neuro-response based on the total amount to form aligned data. The example system includes an analyzer to determine an effectiveness of the media based on the aligned data.

  • Publication number: 20150121097
Abstract: A trace array having features that provide reduced power consumption/power dissipation in processor circuits. The trace array circuit stores processor states during program execution and provides a resulting trace for subsequent analysis. The trace array includes power management features that, responsive to a control signal, reduce the power consumption of the trace array. A first state of the control signal indicates that the trace array circuit is storing states during the execution of the program and a second state of the control signal is set to enable the trace array for reading the collected states. The trace array may have dynamic read bit-lines and static write bit-lines to further reduce power consumption, and the pre-charge circuits that charge the dynamic read bit-lines may be selectively disabled in response to the first state of the control signal. Write-through may also be selectively disabled and optionally bypassed during state collection.
