  • Patent number: 5507416
Abstract: An improvement for a tamper evident resealable cap for use on a bottle, the cap having an upstanding spout that is registerable with an opening in the center of the cap and a sealing plug of a smaller diameter positioned thereabove on multiple upstanding legs extending from the spout. The improvement is directed towards a detachable annular ring secured to the cap by a plurality of frangible elements thereabout, the ring is arranged for restrictive registration with a locking shoulder that extends from the top of the cap body. The cap body has a tamper evident band secured to the cap by a plurality of circumferentially spaced frangible elements with a plurality of annularly spaced radially inwardly extending annular projections and is registerable with a neck portion of the bottle to prevent rotation in one direction without removal of the tamper evident ring.

  • Patent number: 5460281
Abstract: A safety locking screw cap and container having locking projections on the container that are registerable with a flexible flange arm extending from the screw cap to prevent rotation and removal of the cap relative the container. The cap may be removed from the container by flexing the flanged arm away from the cap by pressing on a portion of the flanged arm thus clearing the locking projection allowing removal rotation of the cap on the threaded neck of the container.

  • Patent number: 5373955
Abstract: A neck finish on a wide mouth container to accept a tamper evident cap to provide multiple sealing surfaces therebetween. The neck finish having cooperating upper and lower locking ribs and grooves holding the cap in place until a majority portion of the cap is removed by tearing along a horizontal frangible line, disengaging one of the locking ribs from the neck finish. The neck finish provides multiple sealing surfaces in both vertical and horizontal alignment.

  • Patent number: 5050754
Abstract: A cap of the type having a top portion with a depending annular flange on its peripheral edge and an annular depending sealing flange inwardly thereof between which the neck of a container is sealingly engaged is disclosed in which the depending annular flange of the cap has a lower annular outwardly offset secondary flange for registry with a similarly shaped neck finish of the container. An upstanding tab is integrally formed on the lower annular outwardly offset secondary flange of the depending annular flange. The inner surface of the depending annular flange and the outer surface of the neck finish have cooperating upper and lower annular fastening and sealing configurations holding the cap in place until the lower annular outwardly offset secondary flange of the depending annular flange is removed by tearing along a horizontal frangible line which also removes the lower fastening and sealing configuration.

  • Patent number: 4991733
Abstract: A closure and container having pass over inter-engaging teeth of novel configurations enable the closure to be threadably engaged on the neck finish of the container with relatively low torque rotation and removed from the container only with relatively greater torque rotation in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4711363
Abstract: A tamper evidencing closure for use on containers containing food stuffs and the like comprises multiple cap configuration intrically joined to a closure by a live hinge. A secondary cap is formed within the first with frangible tamper evidence strips and a secondary live hinge. A tubular plug depends from the underside of said secondary cap and is registerable into a dispenser opening within the closure. Assembly pins secure the cap to the closure and a annular rib on the tubular plug forms a seal around the dispensing opening when the tubular plug is in closed position and holds the secondary cap and plug in closed position once the frangible tear strips are broken.

  • Patent number: 4640427
Abstract: A tamper-resistant closure for containers such as bottles of varying sizes for various products wherein the closure has a continuous thread pattern engageable on a matching continuous thread pattern on the container or alternately a snap-on fastening configuration, provides a depending tab having a frangible area transversally thereof formed integrally with the closure and extending alongside a portion of the container. An area of the depending tab is secured to the container by fusing or melting the materials so as to bond the same together preferably by the action of a laser using the natural oscillations of atoms or molecules between energy levels for generating coherent electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet, visible or infrared regions of the spectrum of sufficient intensity and duration to achieve the desired bonding of the closure and the container when the same are formed of molded thermoplastic material.

  • Patent number: 3930495
Abstract: A bicycle type of exercising device for paraplegic invalids comprising an elongated structure having one end adapted to rest upon the floor and its other end adapted to rest upon the end of a conventional bed. Handle bar means and seat support means are mounted upon the end resting upon the floor to provide a manual operator station. The latter end is also provided with a first bicycle sprocket which is operably connected by a link chain to a second sprocket operably connected to the other end of the elongated structure. The second sprocket means is provided with pedal means adapted to receive and retain the feet of a paraplegic who is horizontally disposed in the bed on which the present device is operably mounted whereby the invalid can pedal the present device alone, or preferably, his legs can be exercised by an operator pedaling at the other end provided with the manual station.
