  • Patent number: 8719908
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a digital certificate management system configured to consolidate information related to digital certificates across enterprise systems. In some implementations, the system may be configured to automate recurring harvesting of digital certificate information from current and/or future enterprise systems associated with one or more companies. The system may be configured to standardize the digital certificate information in a centralized database. The system may be configured to identify owners associated with individual digital certificates and pro-actively notify the owners of information associated with digital certificate due dates, for example. • Publication number: 20130265700
Abstract: The Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) is a lighting control protocol that allows individual control and monitoring of each device in a lighting system (e.g. ballasts, emergency lighting etc), as well as groups of such devices. An improved DALI compliant Line Controller is described which may be advantageously used in a commercial setting. The sockets for both DALI lines and Ethernet are industry standard RJ45 sockets, allowing the use of industry standard cables (as compared to DB9 connectors which are not typically used in industrial settings). Further the use of RJ45 sockets enables the DALI controller to be SELV compliant, thus reducing the risk of electrical shock whilst working on the controller and advantageously providing a safer controller for use in an industrial environment.

  • Patent number: 8496752
Abstract: During a CZ or similar process, a silica crucible is held in a graphite or similar susceptor while being heated to above between about 1580 and 1620 degrees C. Vents or grooves formed in at least one of the outer surface of the crucible and the inner surface of the susceptor permit gasses to vent upwardly and out from between the crucible and susceptor. This permits gas evolved from the crucible as a result of the heat to be vented rather than expanding between the crucible and susceptor thereby deforming the crucible.

  • Patent number: 7935141
Abstract: A delivery system for deploying a medical device, such as a stent, at increasing deployment speed is described. The system comprises a catheter comprising a catheter shaft, a retractable sheath slidably mounted on the catheter shaft, and the device in a compressed state sandwiched between the shaft and sheath. A control handle is included with a housing and knobs for a user to apply a rotary or other force to retract the sheath. The sheath is attached to a slider that is mounted on a slide rod and attached to a drive belt. A take up pulley is provided in the housing and connected to the belt input knob, so that the pulley turns when the knob is turned. The belt is attached to the pulley so that the drive is wound onto the rotating pulley. As the belt winds upon the pulley, the overall outside diameter of the pulley increases, thereby increasing the deployment speed.

  • Publication number: 20070253140
Abstract: A ceramic capacitor is disclosed. The capacitor comprises a plurality of base metal inner electrode layers, a plurality of ceramic dielectric layers between the inner electrode layers, and external electrodes in electrical conductivity with the inner electrode layers. At least one secondary component having an intentionally added chemistry is dispersed in the inner electrode layers and/or the dielectric layers. The chemistry evolves an oxidizing species in a controlled manner, such that it offsets localized highly reducing atmospheres that are present when the capacitor is fired in a reducing atmosphere, thereby promoting enhanced electrode connectivity in thin layer base metal multilayer capacitors.

  • Publication number: 20070172592
Abstract: The invention relates to thin film single layers, electronic components such as multilayer capacitors which utilize thin film layers, and to their methods of manufacture. Chemical solution deposition and microcontact printing of dielectric and electrode layers are disclosed. High permittivity BaTiO3 multilayer thin film capacitors are prepared on Ni foil substrates by microcontact printing and by chemical solution deposition. Multilayer capacitors with BaTiO3 dielectric layers and LaNiO3 internal electrodes are prepared, enabling dielectric layer thicknesses of 1 ?m or less. • Publication number: 20070159753
Abstract: A woven or interlaced electronic system for electronic EMI/RFI (Electromagnetic Interference/Radio Frequency Interference) filtering and for Transient Voltage Suppression. This filtering system consists of two diverse types of flexible and electrically conductive wires that are woven or interlaced into a fabric through the use of textile technologies and/or practices. The primary wire is a flexible or bendable, conductive core, single or double clad, edifice which promotes one direction of electron flow across the woven material (the “warp” of the fabric). The succeeding wire 12 is of a conventional, flexible, single or multiple strands, non-insulated type which promotes a divergent direction of electron flow across the woven material (the “weft” of the fabric).
