  • Publication number: 20120079637
Abstract: A new and distinct shrub rose plant is provided that abundantly and substantially continuously forms attractive double blossoms that are light pink in coloration. The plant exhibits vigorous upright and bushy growth habit. The foliage is medium green with a satiny finish. Good disease resistance combined with good winter hardiness is displayed. The plant is well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in parks and gardens.

  • Publication number: 20120042424
Abstract: The present Coreopsis verticillata cultivar was created by the gamma-ray mutagenesis of the ‘Crème Brulée’ cultivar. An upright outwardly spreading mounding growth habit is displayed as well as a freely basal branching habit. Lacy bright green foliage is formed. Attractive, smaller daisy-type inflorescences are formed. The plant further can be distinguished by an observation of its less elongated terracotta-colored ray florets. The plant displays a propensity to freely flower for an extended period of time. The plant can be grown to advantage as attractive ornamentation in parks, gardens, and residential settings.

  • Publication number: 20030115641
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of transforming plants using electroporation of explants, and methods of producing transgenic plants via electroporation of explants. The methods of the invention are also useful for generating transgenic plants free of marker genes. Also provided are plants produced by the methods of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6339185
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a Blec plant 3′ sequence of SEQUENCE ID NO: 5. A method of transforming plants with a Blec 3′ sequence is also within the scope of the present invention. The present invention is also directed to cells comprising a Blec 3′ sequence, plasmids and vectors comprising a Blec 3′ sequence, and the Blec 3′ sequence per se. A plant extract comprising all or part of the Blec 3′ sequence and a method of transcribing nucleic acids in vitro comprising an extract having all or part of the Blec 3′ sequence are also within the scope of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5744334
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a Blec plant promoter sequence of SEQUENCE ID NO: 1. A method of transforming plants with a Blec promoter-gene construct is also within the scope of the present invention. The present invention is also directed to cells comprising a Blec promoter-gene construct, plasmids and vectors comprising a Blec promoter-gene construct and the constructs per se comprising a Blec promoter and a gene. A plant extract comprising all or part of the Blec promoter sequence and a gene under control of said promoter and a method of transcribing nucleic acids comprising an extract having all or part of the Blec promoter sequence and a gene under control of said promoter are also within the scope of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5646333
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a Blec plant promoter sequence of SEQUENCE ID NO: 1. A method of transforming plants with a Blec promoter--gene construct is also within the scope of the present invention. The present invention is also directed to cells comprising a Blec promoter--gene construct, plasmids and vectors comprising a Blec promoter--gene construct and the constructs per se comprising a Blec promoter and a gene. A plant extract comprising all or part of the Blec promoter sequence and a gene under control of said promoter and a method of transcribing nucleic acids comprising an extract having all or part of the Blec promoter sequence and a gene under control of said promoter are also within the scope of the present invention.

  • Patent number: PP23074
Abstract: The present Nepeta plant was created by the gamma-ray mutagenesis of the ‘Walker's Low’ variety. A low mounding growth habit is displayed which is lower than that of the ‘Walker's Low’ variety. The foliage is medium green and provides a mint fragrance. Attractive generally upright purple-violet flowers are formed in abundance over an extended period of time. The plant can be grown to advantage as attractive ornamentation in parks, gardens, and residential settings.
