  • Publication number: 20140372955
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide information about a medical condition based on user input. A user is presented with an anatomical assembly representing an anatomical region of the human body. The presentation includes user-selectable display elements which, when selected, indicate an area in the anatomical assembly representing areas in which a medical symptom is experienced in the human body. Upon receiving user input selecting one of the user-selectable elements of the anatomical assembly, the user is presented with a selection of a medical condition corresponding to the selected element of the anatomical assembly. The user is also presented with information about a medical specialist corresponding to the medical condition.

  • Patent number: 8843852
Abstract: In one aspect, annotating graphical elements can include displaying a graphical element at a user interface which provides annotation options for selecting areas for annotation, and options for adding highlighting and comments. A user uses the annotation options to select areas of the graphical element for annotation, to select highlighting and user input methods, to and provide comments. After receiving the user input, the graphical elements can be displayed along with the selected annotations. In another aspect, providing information about medical conditions can include presenting a user interface that includes a representation of an anatomical region of the human body. A user can use user-selectable display elements to indicate areas in the anatomical region in which a medical condition is experienced. After receiving the user input, the user can be presented with a selection of medical conditions corresponding to the selected areas, as well as information about medical specialists.

  • Patent number: 8220442
Abstract: An exhaust recovery system for use with an internal combustion engine having an air intake device connected to an air/fuel mixing device. The system comprises an improved muffler having a vortex inducing filter mechanism inside the muffler chamber that facilitates separation of engine exhaust air into cool and hot gas streams and encloses a filter element that filters out particulate matter and other pollutants. Engine exhaust air is circumferentially discharged into the muffler chamber and a cone member is disposed inside the chamber to separate and direct the gas streams. The cooled gas stream is redirected to the air intake device through an outlet pipe at the first end of the muffler so pressurized cooled air is directed into the air/fuel mixing device to improve engine performance and efficiency. The filtered hot gas stream is discharged to the environment out a discharge pipe at the second end of the muffler.

  • Publication number: 20110240011
Abstract: A treating apparatus having a source of a flowable substance, an assembly for releasing the flowable substance in a general direction relative to a target, and a propelling assembly operable to transport the flowable substance from the source to the releasing means whereby the flowable substance is propelled in the general direction relative to the target.

  • Publication number: 20110226022
Abstract: A security apparatus for substantially immobilizing a work object rested on a substantially immovable surface, the security apparatus having a body member; arms mounted on the body member disposed in spaced, substantially facing relation to each other and adapted to be positioned in fixed position on opposite sides of the work object; a lock assembly for releasably locking the arms in the fixed position so as to be substantially unitary with the work object; and a disabling member mounted on the body member substantially on the opposite side thereof from the arms whereby any attempt to move the work object is prevented by the disabling member engaging the immovable surface.

  • Patent number: 5247815
Abstract: A device to be clamped onto a tire which punctures the sidewalls of the tire when an unauthorized attempt is made to move the vehicle or pry the device from the tire. The device includes two jaws that slide toward one another to substantially close around the tire thereby positioning teeth on the jaws close to the sidewalls. The jaws are engaged with a ratchet locket mechanism that permits sliding the jaws together for attachment around the tire but which prevents the jaws from sliding apart unless released with a key. The locking mechanism is protected from tampering by a cover with a hole for inserting the key. The hole is remote from the locking mechanism and the key is elongated providing that cryogenic fluid inserted into the cover hole can not reach the locking mechanism such as might be attempted in an effort to embrittle the locking mechanism.
