  • Patent number: 7793226
Abstract: A method and system for grouping and stacking tab user interface objects with icon status indicators. Tabs are grouped together, and each tab group is visually represented by a single top tab, under which all tabs in the group are stacked. The top tab of a tab group provides visual indication through one or more icons of which tab in the group is currently selected, and of at least one status of each tab in the group. The tab groups may be displayed as part of a row or rows of tabs that provide the user with control over the contents of an associated view pane. The user can select a tab group to be currently active with respect to other tabs in the tab row(s) in the user interface by clicking on the top tab for that group.

  • Publication number: 20090292987
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention can include a method, computer program product, system, and/or device for formatting content of an electronic document. In the aspect, pending content from a source document can be identified that is to be inserted into a target document. An insertion point in the target document can be identified. Format settings of pre-existing content of the target electronic document can be analyzed in a range about the insertion point. Predominant format settings for the pre-existing content in the range can be determined. The determined predominant format settings can be applied to the pending content to generate a version of the pending content formatted in accordance with the determined predominant format settings. The version pending content conforming to the predominant format of the target can then be added to the target document at the insertion point.

  • Patent number: 7512485
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system and computer program product for routing multiple paths through polygonal obstacles. In a preferred embodiment, the method begins by offsetting the initial paths through the obstacles from the obstacles to form adjusted paths. If it is determined that any adjusted path encounters a new intersection, the adjusted path or paths are modified to form revised paths. The vertices of each obstacle are labeled. All the revised and all the adjusted paths are sorted. Then, according to their sorted order, the revised and the adjusted paths are reconstructed to form offset paths.

The user can select a tab group to be currently active with respect to other tabs in the tab row(s) in the user interface by clicking on the top tab for that group. When a menu indicator in the top tab for a group is clicked on by the user, a menu is generated that allows the user to indicate (e.g. click on) any tab within the group in order to cause that tab to become the currently selected tab for the group.
