  • Publication number: 20060096637
Abstract: A single valve that includes an openwork semi-rigid membrane having two stable positions and a seat. The single valve is actuated by a pressure differential between the inside and the outside of the semi-rigid membrane. In a first position, the single valve prevents fluid circulation and, in a second position, the single valve allows fluid circulation. The single valve is applicable to an inflating and deflating valve for pneumatics of vehicles tires.

  • Patent number: 6976391
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for regulating the pressure in a tire comprising an outer casting (3) which is mounted on a rim (2). The tire comprises an inner casting (5) which is disposed at the bottom of the rim (2) and which can constitute a high-pressure air reserve, a first actuator (6) which is integrated in the inner casting (5) and which authorizes the flow of air to the outer casting (3) for inflation purposes, a second actuator (8) which is integrated in the outer casting (3) and which authorize the release of air to the outside for deflation purposes; an electronic assembly which can send information to one or other of the actuators (6, 8) and/or receive the information delivered by the detector(s) (7, 9) in order to control the pressure and the temperature in the outer casting (3) and/or in the inner casting (5), a mean for controlling said electronic assembly and a keyboard. The inventive system is suitable for vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20050205182
Abstract: A self-sealing device for a tire on a vehicle wheel, including a wheel, a wheel hub supporting the wheel, a wheel supply circuit, an inflating and deflating valve for supplying compressed air from a pressurized circuit, wherein the valve is positioned between the wheel and the wheel hub and includes sealing means integrated into the wheel supply circuit, wherein the sealing means is activatable to an open position in the presence of the valve and to a closed position in the absence of the valve.

  • Publication number: 20050121125
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel valve (1) for the tyre of a vehicle, comprising a non-return valve (11), two half-bodies (3,4) defining a cavity and assembled with a membrane (6) inserted therebetween acting as a sealing joint between said half-bodies, said non-return valve comprising a tubular element (12) which is connected to the membrane and inside which the closing element (18) can move between a seat (17) and a base (20), said closing element being applied against the seat by means of the pressure prevailing in the tyre. The closing element (18) is subjected to the action of a magnetic field ensuring the maintainance thereof at the base (20) so that the valve can be kept open and that the tyre can deflate slowly. It is made of a steel ball (18) which cooperates with the seat (17) and which is defined by a ring (1) which is inserted into the tubular element (12). The magnetic field is produced with the aid of a magnetized element (22) disposed in the vicinity of the membrane (6).

  • Publication number: 20050012277
Abstract: A sealing system for a shaft revolving in a pressurized fluid circuit. The system comprises a sealing ring placed between the revolving shaft and a fixed casing comprising a deformable element that is applied tightly against said shaft. The deformable element is made of a heat-sensitive shape memory material and being sensitive to a build up in temperature.
