    Abstract: A transferring device is disclosed consisting of a plate for supporting an original paper, a transparent window plate for reflecting an image of the original paper and which is supported on the supporting plate, a base plate supporting the supporting plate and window plate and mechanism for erecting the supporting plate and the window plate at predetermined angles wherein a pattern of the original paper is transferred onto a paper located on the rear face of the window plate by tracing the reflected image from the front face of the window. The supporting plate, the window plate and the base plate are connected through hinges permitting opening and closing, respectively. The window plate and the base plate are provided with a first engaging mechanism for erecting the supporting plate at a predetermined angle with respect to the base plate. The window plate and the base plate are provided with a second engaging mechanism for erecting the window plate at a predetermined angle with respect to the base plate.

    Abstract: A film projector toy is described, including a projector casing and a film cassette received by the casing. The film cassette includes a plurality of films movable one relative to another. Indicia representing different portions of a complete, predetermined picture image are illustrated on each film and the films are superimposed in the cassette. The indicia are then projected, for example, on a wall, so as to form the complete picture image. At least one film is then moved relative to the other films so that the indicia are moved, thereby creating a moving picture image.

    Abstract: A shift mechanism for a motorized toy includes a shift lever which is mounted on the toy so as to be able to move back and forth along an X axis and back and forth along a Y axis. The toy includes an electric motor and electric power supply for powering the same. A gear train connects the electric motor to an output shaft. A shift mechanism is connected between the shift lever such that movement of the shift lever along one of the X or Y axes shifts certain of the gears in the gear train to control the speed of the output of the output shaft. Movement along the other of the axes of the shift lever controls an electric switch which governs both the polarity of the current supplied to the motor to provide for both forward and reverse rotation of the output shaft as well as to break the circuit between the power supply in order to start and stop the toy.

    Abstract: A toy has a front body and a rear body which are connectable directly to each other, or connectable to each other utilizing a third body, such as a pencil or the like. Both the front and the rear bodies include appendage members which contact a support surface and allow the unified front and rear bodies or combination of the front and rear bodies and the third body to move across a support surface in a walking-like motion by individual movement of the appendage members. The appendage members on the front body are driven by a motor located in the front body to move the toy across the support surface, whereas the appendages on the rear body are moved in response to movement of the rear body by the front body.

    Abstract: A toy which can be assembled in a non-permanent manner has a body which includes a first and second body section. Each of the first and second body sections includes a mating face. The mating face on each of the body sections is complementary to the mating face of the other body section, such that the sections can be positioned in association with one another by juxtaposing the respective mating faces. A motor capable of producing an output is held in a motor cradle formed in part in one of the sections and its remaining part formed in the other of the sections. The sections are maintained together utilizing a fastening mechanism which includes one of the sections having an opening in its mating face and the other of the sections having a first joining member which is capable of passing through the opening and a second joining member capable of frictionally engaging the first joining member.

    Abstract: A toy vehicle has a body, and attached to the body is a chassis which is movably mounted thereon so as to move vertically up and down relative to the chassis. A motor is located within the vehicle and aside from propelling the vehicle forward over a support surface, the motor additionally drives a mechanism which raises and lowers the body relative to the chassis. When the body is raised relative to the chassis, the vehicle is propelled forward over the support surface by the motor; however when the body is lowered to the chassis, the drive connection between the driving wheel of the vehicle and the support surface is severed, inhibiting forward progress of the vehicle. The vehicle performs the above noted functions in a cyclic manner, repeating one after the other.

    Abstract: A toy has a body which is divided into a main section and a supplemental section. The supplemental section is movably mounted on the main section between a first and second position. A motor is located within the main section and connected to the motor are a set of drive wheels. The drive wheels extend out of the bottom of the main section and are positioned such that one of the drive wheels is on one side of the longitudinal center line of the main section and the other of the drive wheels is on the other side of the longitudinal center of the main section and both of the drive wheels are located on one side of the transverse center line of the main section. A guide wheel is located on the main section and is positioned such that at least a portion of the guide wheel extends below the main section and is located on one side of the longitudinal center line of the main section and is on the opposite side of the transverse center line from that of the driving wheels.

    Abstract: A toy capable of pivotal movement on a support surface has an articulated body divided into a lower and upper section. A motor is located in the body and drives a set of drive wheels to propel the toy across a support surface. A member is associated with the motor and is capable of pivoting the upper body section side to side with respect to the lower body section. The upper body section includes a left side extension and a right side extension. Both of these extensions extend downwardly from the upper body section toward the support surface and are capable of either contacting the support surface or being lifted upwardly from the support surface in response to the side to side movement of the upper body section with respect to the lower body section. The toy will pivot to the left during motion when the left side extension contacts the support surface and the toy will pivot to the right when the right side extension contacts the support surface as the toy is propelled on the support surface.

    Abstract: A toy racing game includes at least one vehicle powered by a windup spring motor and a track on which the vehicle runs. The vehicle includes an exposed winding member which when rotated winds up the spring motor. An energizing station is located in association with the track and this station is capable of interacting with the vehicle winding member to wind the spring motor. The energizing station includes an engagement mechanism which moves out from the station and contacts the vehicle to retain the vehicle in association with the station. The engagement mechanism includes a retaining member which so retains the vehicle and a motion transfer member which engages with the winding member on the vehicle. Rotation of the motion transfer member is transferred to the winding member to energize the vehicle's spring motor. The vehicle is allowed to propel itself on the track when the engagement mechanism moves away from the vehicle back towards the station.
