Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for remotely configuring selective call features includes receiving a selective call feature request message addressed to a feature configuration address associated with a first communication device from a second communication device. The selective call feature request message includes a selective call feature command. The method further includes enabling a selective call feature indicated by the selective call feature command for the first communication device. In various embodiments, the selective call feature request message is a text message. In some embodiments, the method further includes sending a selective call feature acknowledgment message to the second communication device. The selective call feature acknowledgment message indicates that the selective call feature is enabled for the first communication device.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for processing a purchase transaction includes receiving a purchase request associated with an item of purchase. The purchase request includes sub-account information associated with a sub-account of a credit account. The method further includes associating at least one approved purchase category with the sub-account information, and determining a purchase category of the item. If the purchase category of the item is not in an approved purchase category, the method further includes sending a notification message to an account holder associated with the credit account. Embodiments further include denying purchase of the item if the purchase category is not in an approved purchase category, and authorizing purchase of the item if the purchase category is in an approved purchase category.

Abstract: A system and method for inserting an advertisement for a document to be faxed. In this embodiment, a processor may be configured to determine a category associated with content in a document being faxed. The processor may select at least one advertisement that is related to the associated category. A determination may be made for a location within the document being communicated for one or more advertisements to be positioned. The processor may be further configured to place one or more selected advertisement into the determined location in the document being communicated.

Abstract: A method for on-demand recording of a communication session according to one embodiment includes establishing a communication session between a first communication device and a second communication device. The method further includes receiving a request to initiate recording of the communication session at a network server in response to a user input. The method still further includes recording the communication session by the network server in response to receiving the recording request, and storing the recorded communication session in a storage device associated with the network server.

Abstract: A system and method for communication based on a condition of a user. A VoIP telephone is linked with a device for monitoring one or more health metrics of a user. The one or more health metrics of the user are received from the device. A speaker of the VoIP telephone is enabled to make a call in response to determining the one or more health metrics are not within a pre-defined rage. A receiving party is called in response to determining the one or more health metrics are not within a pre-defined range.

The method also includes the steps of providing a user internet access to a material usage information web site, identifying if a user has permission to access the material usage information web site and selecting a predetermined attribute of the tracked real-time material usage by the user. The method further includes the steps of providing the tracked real-time material usage on the material usage information web site based on the selected attributes and using the tracked real-time material usage by the user in replenishing the material.
