  • Publication number: 20170032790
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for efficient voice transcription is provided. A verbal message is processed by splitting the verbal message into segments and generating text for each of the segments via automated speech recognition. A confidence score is assigned to each text segment. The text segments are provided to workbenches, in order, staring with the text segment having a lowest confidence score. For at least one text segment provided to the workbench, one of edits to the text segment and manually transcribed text to replace the text segment are received. A threshold is applied to a time for performing the message processing and upon satisfaction of the threshold, the message processing is terminated. A text message is generated for the verbal message based on one of the generated text segment, manual transcription, or edited text segment for each of the text segments in that verbal message.

  • Patent number: 9418659
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for transcribing verbal messages is provided. Verbal messages each comprising audio content are received. Automatically recognized text is generated for the audio content of at least one of the verbal messages. A turn-around processing time is applied to the verbal message. The automatically recognized text and verbal message are transferred to a human agent when an expected processing time of the verbal message satisfies the turn-around processing time. At least a portion of the automatically recognized text is replaced with manual transcription from the human agent. The automatically recognized text and manual transcription are provided as a text message.

  • Patent number: 9370594
Abstract: A method of retaining only compatible refills by a volatile material dispenser includes the step of providing a dispenser having a housing and at least one movable latch disposed within the housing. The method further includes the steps of providing a compatible refill that includes a container for holding a volatile material and a wick extending from the container and inserting the refill into the housing so that the refill actuates the movable latch into engagement with a structure disposed on a neck of the refill to retain the refill within the housing. The incompatible refills are incapable of actuating the movable latch, and thus, the movable latch does not retain the incompatible refills within the housing.

  • Patent number: 9322630
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing and checking a thread arranged in a cylinder head to receive a spark plug. However, the invention also relates to a device for checking the thread introduced into the cylinder head. By defining a starting point of the internal thread to be produced specifically in terms of position thereof within the parent hole by using spark plug parameters, the spark plug will always be aligned with its spark gap oriented toward the injector. For the purpose of checking, use is made of a plug gage, the screw-in thread of which has the parameters of the spark plug thread and with which, by using a measuring face, the position of an extension on the threaded body can be established. The extension simulates the ground electrode of the spark plug.

  • Publication number: 20150245568
Abstract: Methods and systems control an irrigation system that includes an irrigation controller, and at least one irrigation sensor connected by a communication circuit. A series of addressing pulses is also generated over the communication circuit, which indicate a device identifier of at least one irrigation sensor. The series of addressing pulses activate at least one irrigation sensor having the device identifier indicated by the series of addressing pulses such that the activated irrigation sensor provides a sensor signal indicative of an irrigation condition to the irrigation controller via the communication network.

  • Patent number: 9032998
Abstract: Methods and systems control an irrigation system that includes an irrigation controller, a valve actuator, and at least one irrigation sensor connected by a communication circuit. A sensor charging pulse having a temporal duration less than a solenoid actuation time threshold for a solenoid is provided over the communication circuit. The sensor charging pulse charges a charge storage device in at least one irrigation sensor.
