    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for simply evaluating whether or not a culture substrate and/or a culture medium solution used in cell culture is suitable for culturing intended cells. The evaluation method in accordance with the present invention measures an affinity (e.g., contact angle) between a culture substrate and a culture medium solution, and evaluates whether or not the culture substrate and/or the culture medium solution is suitable for culturing intended cells based on the result of measuring the affinity between the culture substrate and the culture medium solution.
