  • Patent number: 5067612
Abstract: Packaging with heat-shrinkable film wherein an article has on its surface a heat-shrinkable film in the longitudinal or traversing direction, a tape-shaped overlapping portion is formed on said film, the tape-shaped overlapping portion is partially welded, and tear-off perforations are made in lines along the longitudinal direction thereof so that tearing off the tape-shaped overlapping portion along the perforations opens the package to allow the article to be taken out.

  • Patent number: 4225644
Abstract: A novel type of low temperature heat-sealable bi-axially oriented polypropylene composite film and a process for the production thereof are disclosed. The composite film is characterized by having on at least one of the outer surfaces thereof a uni-axially or bi-axially oriented extremely thin continuous layer of a primary higher fatty acid amide or an N-substituted higher fatty acid amide formed through the sequential coating and orientating, and it shows well-balanced excellence in all properties required for such films including lubricity, anti-blocking property, anti-scratch property and low temperature heat sealability.

  • Patent number: 4117193
Abstract: There is disclosed a novel composite film prepared by melt extrusion laminating a polymer blend composition comprising a low-crystalline resin of an ethylene-butene copolymer and a polyolefin resin having incorporated therein a lubricant and an anti-blocking agent onto a surface or surfaces of a uniaxially stretched polypropylene film followed by stretching the laminate film in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which said polypropylene has been stretched and optionally subjecting the resulting film to corona discharge treatment. The composite film thus made provides an excellent packaging material because of its improved antistatic, lubricating and anti-blocking properties in addition to its heat sealability feasible at lower temperatures than prior art materials.
