A user of the device may define link areas on the latest image captured via a camera to be automatically associated with the subsequently taken images. Thus image structures called image chains are formed while still continuing the image capturing process. Such chains can be navigated through during the image capturing process or later on.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing a PoC connection (Push to talk over Cellular) from a terminal device with a touch-screen display to the terminal device of a receiving target. The identifier of the receiving target is selected from among the identifiers saved in the memory of the transmitting terminal device. In the method according to the invention, the identifiers of the targets are shown on the touch-screen display of the terminal device. The user selects from the identifiers shown on the display the one to which he/she wants to establish a connection. After this, the user opens a PoC connection to the receiving terminal device by touching the selected identifier with a pointing means, such as a stylus. Preferably, only the identifiers of the targets which use a terminal device supporting the PoC service are shown on the touch-screen of the terminal device. The PoC connection can be opened to one terminal device or to a group of terminal devices.

Abstract: A method for controlling display of graphical information in a display window is presented. A scroll region, i.e. a scroll bar, is provided with a “memory” that indicates to the user where to return after scrolling away from a current position within, e.g., a large document. This is advantageous in that it relieves the user from having to be very attentive to the scrolling content of the window, which means that the scrolling can be performed more quickly when compared to prior art solutions.

Abstract: The invention relates to on-line handwriting recognition. At least one auxiliary line is displayed on a touch sensitive panel. Each of the auxiliary lines constitutes a portion of more than one character of a character set. A character of the character set is drawn on the touch sensitive panel by completing one of the at least one auxiliary line into the character. The drawn character is recognized on the basis of said completion. The invention allows handwriting recognition that is significantly more reliable and easier to use than prior art techniques.

According to the invention a collection selection parameter may be determined. The parameter determines how the search results are presented to a user. The contents of at least one collection of the electronic storage are searched and collections comprising at least one item of the determined item type according to the collection selection parameter are chosen. Finally, the chosen collections are presented to the user.

The adaptable user interface provides a more error free input function as well as greater ease of use when being used during certain events such as while moving. Abstract: A method of editing a character string displayed on a touchscreen with an indicator means. A character string comprising a plurality of characters is displayed on the touchscreen. The character string is edited in response to an indication made with the indicator means such that the characters after the indication point are deleted from the character string. The character string may be a network address displayed in an address field of a browser program, whereby the loading of the network address according to the edited character string is automatically initiated by the browser program in response to the editing of the character string.
