Abstract: Various systems and methods for enhancing a distributed computing environment with multiple edge hosts and user devices, including in multi-access edge computing (MEC) network platforms and settings, are described herein. A device of a lifecycle management (LCM) proxy apparatus obtains a request, from a device application, for an application multiple context of an application. The application multiple context for the application is determined. The request from the device application for the application multiple context for the application is authorized. A device application identifier based on the request is added to the application multiple context. A created response for the device application based on the authorization of the request is transmitted to the device application. The response includes an identifier of the application multiple context.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and machine-readable storage media of a multi-access edge computing (MEC) component, of a first MEC system, for discovering platforms in MEC systems, are described. In an example, a list of MEC system identifiers is received from a dedicated reference point. The MEC system identifiers includes a system identifier of a second, different MEC system. A list of available MEC hosts in the second MEC system that fulfill a predefined requirement is received. A list of shareable services on the first MEC system is determined. Information is provided to the second MEC system regarding the list of shareable services on the first MEC system.

Abstract: According to various examples, a processing system is described comprising a plurality of hardware circuit components, each hardware circuit component configured to provide a processing functionality, a data path leading through the plurality of hardware circuit components, at least one programmable circuit and a controller configured to select one of the hardware circuit components to be replaced by the at least one programmable circuit, program the programmable circuit to provide the processing functionality provided by the selected hardware circuit component and configure the data path to lead through the programmable circuit instead of the selected hardware circuit component.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media, are provided for offloading computationally intensive tasks from one computer device to another computer device taking into account, inter alia, energy consumption and latency budgets for both computation and communication. Embodiments may also exploit multiple radio access technologies (RATs) in order to find opportunities to offload computational tasks by taking into account, for example, network/RAT functionalities, processing, offloading coding/encoding mechanisms, and/or differentiating traffic between different RATs.
