Abstract: A method of forming a semiconductor device includes: forming a fin protruding above a substrate, where a top portion of the fin comprises a layer stack that includes alternating layers of a first semiconductor material and a second semiconductor material; forming a dummy gate structure over the fin; forming openings in the fin on opposing sides of the dummy gate structure; forming source/drain regions in the openings; removing the dummy gate structure to expose the first semiconductor material and the second semiconductor material under the dummy gate structure; performing a first etching process to selectively remove the exposed first semiconductor material, where after the first etching process, the exposed second semiconductor material form nanostructures, where each of the nanostructures has a first shape; and after the first etching process, performing a second etching process to reshape each of the nanostructures into a second shape different from the first shape.

Abstract: A method includes forming isolation regions extending into a semiconductor substrate. A semiconductor strip is between the isolation regions. The method further includes recessing the isolation regions so that a top portion of the semiconductor strip protrudes higher than top surfaces of the isolation regions to form a semiconductor fin, measuring a fin width of the semiconductor fin, generating an etch recipe based on the fin width, and performing a thinning process on the semiconductor fin using the etching recipe.

Abstract: A video phone communication system and method therefor are provided. The system includes a master phone device and at least one extension phone device. The master phone device is connected to the extension phone device through a wired or wireless communication way. The master phone device is used to conduct a voice/image communication with a communication partner, and transmit the voice/image signals of the communication partner to an extension phone device through the wired or wireless communication way. Thus, the image of the communication partner is displayed on a display of the extension phone device. Through the application of the video phone communication system and method of the application, the contents and range of the image displayed can be increased, thus fulfilling the requirements of mobility and multi-party communications in the phone communication.

Abstract: A tightening device for positioning a worktable of a machine tool to a base includes a saddle member disposed on the base, and a positioning carrier member carrying the worktable and movable relative to an abutment wall of the saddle member. An elongate adjusting member has a force-delivering end spaced apart from the abutment wall, and a middle threaded segment threadedly engaged with the positioning carrier member such that the force-delivering end is movable towards or away from the abutment wall. A force transmitting member is loosely connected to the positioning carrier member, and is configured such that a spiral force resulting from a screw-in movement is taken up by a proximate end thereof from the force-delivering end, and is transformed to a translation force that moves a distal end thereof to tightly engage the abutment wall.

Abstract: A composite Internet phone device is provided, which is a phone device formed by compositing an Internet phone module with a conventional phone, and used for communication service of voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and public switched telephone network (PSTN), wherein it is selectively switched to one of the VOIP and PSTN by a switching unit according to power supplying conditions of a power-supplying device for an Internet phone or networks of the called party and the calling party.

Abstract: A video phone communication system and method therefor are provided. The system includes a master phone device and at least one extension phone device. The master phone device is connected to the extension phone device through a wired or wireless communication way. Abstract: An abutment plate assembly for a cutting machine includes an abutment plate unit, an extension plate unit, and a locking unit. The abutment plate unit includes a sliding rail unit having a generally T-shaped cross section. The extension plate unit is formed with a slide slot having a generally T-shaped cross section and engaging the sliding rail. The locking unit includes a pressing member movable vertically within the slide slot, a resilient member for biasing the pressing member to move away from the abutment plate unit, and a rotary lever unit. The rotary lever unit is rotatable so as to move the pressing member toward the abutment plate unit until the pressing member presses the extension plate against the abutment plate unit to thereby lock the extension plate unit on the abutment plate unit.

Abstract: A network telephone device includes a telephone host, a control module, a processing module, an audio/video output unit, and a data reader/writer. The telephone host provides general communication processes of network telephone via the information network. The control module produces recording signal and transmitting signal according to the receiving process and transmission process. The processing module executes the corresponding process of the signals received and transmitted by the telephone host respectively according to the recording signal and transmitting signal produced by the control module. The data reader/writer executes the read/write process from/to the memory unit based on the process result by the processing module, and then the audio/video output unit executes the output process based on the read/write process by the data reader/writer.

Abstract: An engaging and disengaging gear for a bicycle includes an axle rotatably mounted in a five-way tube on the bicycle to connect to two pedal cranks, a thimble fixedly connected to one end of the five-way tube, an internally threaded transmission bevel gear received in the thimble, a chain wheel mounted on the axle between the thimble and a collar of the axle, and a ring spring fixed to outer surface of the transmission gear. The axle has an externally threaded section between the thimble and the chain wheel for extending through and engaging with the internally threaded transmission gear. An outer periphery of the ring spring slightly contacts with inner wall of the thimble to provide a resistance to a maximum static friction force between the transmission gear and the axle that are screwed together. When the axle is caused to turn forward, the transmission gear moves along the axle toward the chain wheel and engages with the latter, causing the chain wheel to rotate forward, too.

Abstract: A body exerciser includes two leg-supporting members having first proximate ends pivoted to a seat member, and first distal ends swingable relative to the seat member on a horizontal plane. A guiding member has a second proximate end secured to the seat member between the first proximate ends, and a second distal end. A sliding member is mounted slidably on the guiding member, and is connected pivotally to the first distal ends of the leg supporting rods by two connecting members, respectively. When the user sits on the seat member and bends forward to move the sliding member toward the second distal end, the connecting members will cooperate to spread apart the leg supporting members for spreading apart the user's legs so as to exercise the user's trunk and legs.
