Abstract: A motor vehicle intake muffler duct is formed by integrally bonding an upper duct, a lower duct and a separator interposed between them. Three airways are formed between the upper duct and the separator, seven muffler chambers are formed between the lower duct and the separator, and the airways and the muffler chambers are communicated with each other through vent holes which are formed in the separator. An intake muffler duct in which multiple muffler chambers are integrated with the airways, can be formed from only three components, which are an upper duct, a lower duct and a separator, and moreover although it has a compact structure, it is possible to reduce the intake noise effectively.
Abstract: A hydrogenated block copolymer or hydrogenated block copolymer mixture consisting essentially of (a) hydrogenation product of a star-branched block copolymer represented by the structural formula (A-B).sub.n X wherein A is a polybutadiene block having a 1,2-vinyl content of less than 25% by weight and B is a copolymer block containing 50% by weight or more of a conjugated diene compound whose vinyl content is 25% by weight or more, X is a coupling agent residue and n is an integer of 3 or more, and (b) a hydrogenation product of a straight chain block copolymer represented by the structural formula A-B wherein A and B are as defined above, the weight ratio of the component (a) to the component (b) being 100/0 to 5/95, and a hydrogenated block copolymer composition comprising (I) 1 to 99 parts by weight of said hydrogenated block copolymer or hydrogenated block copolymer mixture and (II) 99 to 1 part by weight of a thermoplastic resin and/or a rubbery polymer.
Abstract: There is provided a coating material which can be used on the surfaces of various base materials and can form a non-glare coating film having excellent antistatic properties and surface hardness and having no glare. The coating composition comprising a mixed aqueous-dispersion sol, the coating composition comprising(i) an aqueous-dispersion type sol of an electroconductive oxide(s) of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of tin, antimony and indium, and(ii) an aqueous silica sol prepared by dispersing or hydrolyzing lithium silicate and/or alkyl silicate in water solvent.
Abstract: A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising 99-1 parts by weight of (i) a hydrogenated diene polymer which is a hydrogenation product of a straight or branched chain block copolymer consisting of (C) a polybutadiene block segment having a 1,2-vinyl content of not more than 20% and (D) a block segment which is a polybutadiene or an alkenyl aromatic compound-butadiene copolymer, the butadiene portion of which has a 1,2-vinyl content of 25-95% and 1-99 parts by weight of (ii) at least one of a thermoplastic resin or a rubbery polymer.
Abstract: A hydrogenated diene copolymer resin composition comprising (A) 5-70% by weight of a hydrogenated diene copolymer which is a hydrogenation product of a random copolymer of at least one conjugated diene and 3-50% by weight of an alkenyl aromatic compound having a number average molecular weight of 5,000-1,000,000 and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 10 or less, the vinyl content in the diene portion of the random copolymer being 10-90%, at least 70% of the olefinic unsaturation of the random copolymer being hydrogenated, and (B) 95-30% by weight of at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polypropylene resin, a polyphenylene ether resin and an alkenyl aromatic compound polymer resin.
Abstract: A stair-like revetment structure is formed by using sloping blocks. At the rear end of the block main body having an approximately rectangular and a rearwardly sloping flat step are provided rear engagement pods opening like a wedge at the rear of the main body and front engagement pods having an approximately same shape as the rear engagement pods extending adjacent a concave portion at the center bottom of the front of the main body, the concave portion being provided between the front and the rear engagement pods. This results in a low cost simplified sloping block structure.
Abstract: A heat pipe comprising a container having water enclosed therein as a working fluid and made of a material reactive with water to evolve hydrogen gas. The heat pipe is characterized in that the container has placed therein a solid oxidizing agent for oxidizing the hydrogen gas to water. The hydrogen gas produced by the reaction of the working fluid, i.e. water, with the container is oxidized to water by the oxidizing agent without remaining in the form of a gas within the condensing portion of the pipe.
Abstract: An electronic device with an alarm function has a time count circuit for providing time data and a date count circuit for providing date data. The electronic device also produces an alarm sound at an alarm time. When the date data represents a specific day, the electronic device produces a melody different from the alarm sound to tell the specific day.
Abstract: Colored aluminum powder is prepared by immersing finely divided aluminum in a weak alkali solution maintained at a temperature of 50.degree. C. to the boiling point of the solution and having a pH of 8 to 12, said solution containing a salt of iron, nickel, cobalt, zinc or copper, and at least one aliphatic amine having a chelating ability for the metal salt, to form a composite film which consists of a hydrated aluminum oxide and a hydrated oxide of the metal, and separating the aluminum from the solution.
