  • Patent number: 7213418
Abstract: One-cylinder circular knitting machine for production of hose-like knitwear, such as socks, etc., that are closed at one of their ends, is provided with an dial plate (3) situated above the needle cylinder of the machine and equipped with dial sinkers (4, 4?) for cooperation with needles (1) during transferring the knitting. The machine is provided with a device for transferring the retained knitting of the toe pouch (V) knitted on a half-circle of needles (1) from one half of the dial sinkers (4) to the other half of the dial sinkers (4?).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 6, 2003
Date of Patent: May 8, 2007
    Assignee: Uniplet Trebic, A.S.

  • Patent number: 6889531
Abstract: A known one-cylinder small-diameter circular knitting machine for production of sock goods is modified for closing the toe directly in the machine, where the initial rows of the knitwear beginning by reciprocal knitting of toe pouch are knitted on one half of needles 1, into which needles 1 elastic thread S drawn from a bobbin C is inserted by a thread guide 2. The machine is further provided with a plate brake 3, which plate brake 3 is placed in the path of the elastic thread E in front of the thread guide 2. In front of the plate brake 3 a controlled blocking brake 4 is then positioned in the path of the elastic thread E. In front of the blocking brake 4 a positive feeder 5 is positioned.

  • Patent number: 4106312
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing for the selection of certain selector jacks in circular knitting machines, in response to and according to a given recorded program as on a patterning drum or electromagnetic patterning system. These chosen selectors are caused to be racked into engagement with the cam system to be raised, subsequently actuating the appurtenant needles associated with them to form loops in one yarn feed system. Before complete retraction of these needles, those selectors which are not chosen and which do not lift are then racked into engagement with the cam system and caused to raise actuating their needles in the subsequent yarn feed system.

  • Patent number: 4065942
Abstract: Textile article of tubular shape as, e.g. panties and similar articles, with a body portion and leg portions, made integrally in a circular knitting machine, wherein the knitwork of the body portion is made as at least a double knitwork in an area covering substantially the part between the waist opening and the crotch part of said article.Method of manufacturing the above textile article, wherein a first tubular portion is knitted, is transferred upon finishing below the needle latches, and remains suspended on the needle shanks, a second portion is knitted thereafter as a double welt and a longitudinal gap is formed, the last loops of the first portion and of the first part of the double welt are joined by knitting after having knitted the first part of the double welt, whereupon the second part of the double welt is knitted with a longitudinal gap, both parts of the double welt being joined and the knitting of the tubular part of the second portion being continued.
