The element includes linear members extending in the extending direction between a second distal end portion and a second proximal end portion. The linear members include a dense region where an interval between each of the plurality of slits is smaller than a predetermined first threshold value, and a sparse region where the interval between each of the plurality of slits is larger than a second threshold value being a value equal to or greater than the first threshold value.

The electrolyzer is partitioned by an ion exchange membrane into an anode chamber for accommodating an anode and a cathode chamber for accommodating a cathode.
