  • Patent number: 5726849
Abstract: An input overcurent suppression circuit is used for a DC-DC converter in uninterruptible power supply source and includes a plurality of DC-DC converters, an AC-DC converter and a detecting means for detecting an input current to the DC-DC converters. In the plural DC-DC converters, a parallel circuit constituted by a resistor element and a switching element is connected in series with an input circuit to break the circuit in response to an overcurrent or over heating. When the power source circuit is closed, a surge current-preventing circuit prevents the surge current by turning a switching element off for a predetermined period of time. The AC-DC converter feeds current to at least two or more DC-DC converters among the plurality of DC-DC converters. When the detecting means has detected an overcurrent, the switching element is turned off to turn off the resistor element connected in parallel with the switching element, to thereby suppress the overcurrent flowing into the AC-DC converter.

  • Patent number: 5624247
Abstract: Both ends of a circling scroll are supported by a pin crank and the eccentric shaft of the circling scroll, thus assuring a stable circling or oscillating motion of the scroll. This in turn allows the scroll tooth length to be elongated, leading to an increase in the capacity of the fluid machine. Because the eccentric shaft and the pin crank are fitted into the center boss, the pin crank can work as a shaft that supports the left end of the circling scroll. The provision of the boss allows a radial load acting on the scroll tooth to be borne at the load position, thus shortening the shaft and reducing the bearing. Because the pin crank can be mounted to the boss, a two-block parallel arrangement and two-stage arrangement can be implemented easily. Further, the construction in which the pin crank is used as a left-end supporting bearing contributes to reducing the manufacturing cost of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5559443
Abstract: A jig for measuring the characteristics of various semiconductors has three main elements including a first circuit board to be connected to a tester for measuring the characteristics of the semiconductor, a second circuit board to be connected to the semiconductor and an intermediate board located between the first and second circuit boards. The first and second circuit boards are electrically connected together through springy pins. These pins, secured to the first circuit board, extend through the intermediate board via through holes to contact with terminals located in the second circuit board. When measuring the characteristics of various semiconductors it is possible to use the jig by replacing only the second circuit board with a board adapted to the particular semiconductor being measured without replacing the other elements of the jig.

  • Patent number: 5369493
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting an electronic component includes a head for holding the component when the component is picked up from a suitable storage device. The head is movable relative to a base with an imaging apparatus being fixed to the head and allowing position of the component relative to the head to be determined while the component is being transported. A movable optical component is provided on the head which, in one position, contributes to defining an optical path between the component and the imaging apparatus, and in another position, is withdrawn. A further imaging apparatus may be provided, on the base or on the head with the further imaging apparatus detecting the position of large components, if the first imaging apparatus has a narrow filed of view for small components. Alternatively, when the further imaging apparatus is on the head, the imaging apparatus may detect the position to which the component is to be transported.

  • Patent number: 5247205
Abstract: A power supply apparatus for supplying a direct current to a load includes a circuit breaker, and an AC/DC converter for converting an alternating current passed through the circuit breaker into a direct current. The direct current is supplied to the load. A battery supplies a direct current to the load when the AC/DC converter is in an abnormal state, and a switch is connected between the output of the AC/DC converter and the battery and between the load and the battery. Switch drive units control the switch in such a way that, when the circuit breaker is in an on state, the switch is turned on to connect the battery to the AC/DC converter and to the load. When the circuit breaker is in an off state, the switch is turned off to disconnect the battery from the load, whereby an unnecessary battery back up operation is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4906501
Abstract: A laminated material as a damping member welded to a panel of a vehicle body comprises a lower sheet of a foamable mer-sheet, an upper sheet of a non-foamable mer-sheet and an intermediate sheet of a reduced size to be interposed between the upper and lower sheets, wherein the upper and lower sheets are welded together at their peripheral end portions which come into direct contact with each other in laminated state. This structure probilits any irregularities present on the body panel surface from appearing on the upper surface of the laminated material and provides a good damping effect. A method for welding a laminated damping material to a vehicle body panel uses an oven which is used in a coating step of a vehicle body assembly line, dry heat of the oven permitting the layer of a foamable material to get foamed and fluidized when the damping material is passed through the oven the coating step, thus providing a thermal welding between the damping material and the panel.
