Patent number: 5459389Abstract: A dual-charging system for a portable electric appliance such as a video camera comprises a rechargeable battery pack having a built-in charge circuit and a separate charger unit. The battery pack is capable of selectively taking a first charging operation with the use of the built-in charge circuit and a second charging operation with the use of a charge circuit of the charger unit. The charge circuit of the charger unit is designed such that a charging rate of the battery pack by the second charging operation is faster than that by the first charging operation. Therefore, when a rapid charging of the battery pack is desired, it is preferred to select the second charging operation. On the other hand, when the electric appliance is used, for example, during a journey, it is preferred to select the first charging operation because the charger unit is inconvenient to carry during a journey.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1994Date of Patent: October 17, 1995Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuru Fujiwara, Atsushi Isaka

Patent number: 5223052Abstract: A method treating a surface of rotors in a screw-type rotary fluid machine, with the method comprising the steps of: conducting a non-electrolytic Ni plating on the surface of each rotor so as to form a first layer of non-electrolytic Ni plating layer; heating the rotor having the first layer at a temperature not lower than 500.degree. C.; and forming, at least, a second layer of an organic resin so as to cover the first layer.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1991Date of Patent: June 29, 1993Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Akihiko Yamamoto, Toshihiro Yamada, Tatsuo Natori, Kotaro Naya, Motohiro Satoo, Mitsuru Fujiwara, Katsumi Matsubara, Kazuaki Shiinoki, Hirotaka Kameya

Patent number: 5082427Abstract: In the screw compressing apparatus, by rotating paired male and female rotors as meshing with each other, a gas is suctioned from a suction chamber into a working space, and compressed in the working space. The compressed high pressure gas is exhausted from a exhaust chamber, and then cooled by an aftercooler, thereby producing a low temperature, high pressure gas. In the compression process, the temperature of the gas in the working space becomes high at the exhaust chamber side. When this exhaust gas temperature reaches a predetermined value, a part of the gas cooled by an aftercooler is injected into the working space for lowering the temperture in the working space.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1990Date of Patent: January 21, 1992Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuru Fujiwara, Akira Suzuki, Junji Okita

Patent number: 4963079Abstract: A screw fluid machine in which the distance between a point on each of bore walls and the axis of a male or female rotor decreases at a normal temperature in the vicinity of a high-pressure port as the point proceeds from the low-pressure side to the high-pressure side.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1987Date of Patent: October 16, 1990Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuru Fujiwara, Akira Suzuki, Riichi Uchida

Patent number: 4812837Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a video RAM for storing character and graphic data, a control circuit for selecting specific data from the RAM to be displayed on a liquid crystal display panel, and a positive/negative mode selector for selecting one of a positive display mode in which data is displayed as lighted elements against a dark background, and a negative display mode in which data is displayed as dark elements against a lighted background. The display device allows the use of software developed for CRT based data processors to be run in LCD mounted data processors in which the data formats would otherwise be reversed.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1988Date of Patent: March 14, 1989Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomikatsu Shiraishi, Mitsuru Fujiwara

Patent number: 4770615Abstract: A screw compressor including a scavenging port, which is separate from a discharge port, located on or in a vicinity of a discharge-side end face of the working space of the casing, for scavenging gas therethrough from a compression chamber near to a completion of a suction stroke. Gas of high temperature leaking from a compression chamber on high-pressure side into a compression chamber on a low-pressure side (in the suction stroke) can be scavenged from the compressor to outside, thereby avoiding a reduction in suction volume efficiency, an increase in consumption of power, and a rise in temperature of gas to be compressed which might otherwise be caused by the gas of high temperature leaking into the compression chambers during a suction stroke.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1986Date of Patent: September 13, 1988Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuru Fujiwara, Taiji Hashimoto, Akira Suzuki

Patent number: 4560333Abstract: A screw compressor having a recess formed in the high-pressure end surface of the casing. This recess receives the fluid from a closed working space which has just been isolated from the discharge port and closed in the compression step. Consequently, the abnormal pressure rise in the closed working space, which is caused due to the compression of the fluid confined, is completely eliminated. The recess has a configuration involving a curve conforming with the leading flank of the female rotor at the instant at which the working space is isolated from the discharge port and closed.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 1984Date of Patent: December 24, 1985Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuru Fujiwara, Taisuke Torigoe

Patent number: 4475878Abstract: A screw compressor including a female rotor and a male rotor rotating while meshing with each other, with the rotor tooth form of one of the female and male rotors meshing with each other without any clearance therebetween in normal temperature condition being used as a basic tooth form for obtaining a rotor tooth form produced by deformation on account of thermal expansion during operation. The basic tooth form and the tooth form thus obtained are employed in the assembled compressor. The rotors with these teeth form, when brought together in meshing engagement, have a clearance at start-up which allows for their expansion. This clearance is maintained at a minimum during operation of the compressor.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1982Date of Patent: October 9, 1984Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiko Kasuya, Hidetomo Mori, Mitsuru Fujiwara, Tetsuzo Matsunaga
