The apparatus includes a light projector projecting an irradiating light onto the object; a first receiver receiving and converting a reflected light into a received light signal; a second receiver adjacent to the light projecting unit, the second receiver receiving and converting the irradiating light into a reference signal, the second receiver being different from the first receiver; and a distance measuring unit measuring the distance based on a time.
