Patent number: 7021569Abstract: A fuel swirler positioned upstream of an injection orifice is disposed at the tip of a nozzle body in a fuel injector, in which the fixed core and the nozzle body are coupled to each other via a non-magnetic cylindrical seal ring press-fitted and welded to the outer circumference of one end on the nozzle body side of the fixed core and the inner circumference of one end of the nozzle body. The inner circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the seal ring function serve as a guide for slidably guiding a stroke movement of the needle. The fuel swirler is held between the receiving surface of the nozzle body and the orifice plate, thus defining an annular fuel passage between the outer circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the nozzle body, so that fuel flows into a passage groove formed at the lower end surface of the fuel swirler via the annular fuel passage.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2000Date of Patent: April 4, 2006Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Car Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kiyotaka Ogura, Atsushi Sekine, Eiichi Kubota, Masafumi Nakano, Keiichi Uraki, Noriyuki Maekawa, Mizuho Yokoyama, Yoshiyuki Tanabe, Hiromasa Kubo, Tooru Ishikawa

Patent number: 5127156Abstract: An inner cylindrical component is disposed on a bottom portion of an outer cylindrical component with a clearance which is formed between an outer diameter portion of the inner component and an inner diameter portion of the outer component. A guiding pin for positioning is inserted concentrically through the inner component and a tip end portion of the guiding pin engages with the bottom portion of the outer component. An outer peripheral portion of the positioned inner component is locally and vertically pressure-pressed. A portion of the inner component is extended in an outer diameter direction according to the pressure-pressing plastic deformation. The extended member of the inner component is joined together with the inner diameter portion of the outer component. Patent number: 5109823Abstract: A fuel injector device has a fuel swirling element disposed upstream of a valve seat and capable of imparting a swirling force to a fuel supplied thereto, a fuel injection nozzle orifice disposed downstream of the valve seat, and a fuel distributing adapter disposed downstream of the fuel injection nozzle orifice and capable of distributing the flow of the fuel injected by the fuel injection nozzle orifice in two directions. The adapter has an axial fuel passage having a fuel inlet of a diameter greater than that of the injection orifice and an outlet end of a substantially "8"-shape having a minimum diameter smaller than that of the inlet end. The adapter can be formed by preparing a blank having an axial fuel passage and then conducting a plastic work by a punch press on an end face of the blank so as to restrict the outlet end of the fuel passage.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1991Date of Patent: May 5, 1992Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Automotive Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mizuho Yokoyama, Hisanobu Kanamaru, Yoshio Okamoto, Tunemitu Kuroha, Atsushi Koshizaka, Hironori Shinozaki
