  • Patent number: 11938151
Abstract: In order to inhibit the growth of fungi, such as Madurella mycetomatis, gold nanoparticles are synthesized and capped with an extract of Reseda arabica. The gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica are made by adding the extract of Reseda arabica to an aqueous sodium tetrachloroaurate (NaAuCl4) solution to reduce the sodium tetrachloroaurate and form a suspension of gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica. The extract of Reseda arabica acts as a reducing and stabilizing agent while also functionalizing the surfaces of the gold nanoparticles to cap the surfaces. The suspension may be boiled, followed by removal of the gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica from the suspension. To treat a Madurella mycetomatis infection, an effective dose of the gold nanoparticles capped with Reseda arabica extract may be administered to a patient in need thereof.

  • Patent number: 11870373
Abstract: Capacitor balancing of a dual three-level (3L) T-type converter based on silicon carbide (SiC) discrete semiconductors was performed with the converter feeding an open-ends induction motor (OEIM). A model predictive control (MPC) using a two step cost function calculation was developed to balance the DC link capacitors and control the machine torque simultaneously. The number of redundant switching states used was reduced without affecting the operating voltage vectors, which substantially reduced the computational time. A simulation and experimental results are in good agreement.

  • Publication number: 20230344978
Abstract: An automated structural feature and analysis system is disclosed. A 3D device emits a volume scanning 3D beam that scans a structure to generate 3D data that is associated with a distance between the 3D device and each end point of the 3D beam positioned on the structure. An imaging device captures an image of the structure to generate image data with the structure as depicted by the image of the structure. A controller fuses the 3D data of the structure generated by the 3D device with the image data of the structure generated by the imaging device to determine the distance between the 3D device and each end point of the 3D beam positioned on the structure and to determine a distance between each point on the image. The controller generates a sketch image of the structure that is displayed to the user.

  • Publication number: 20230299698
Abstract: Reduced computation time for model predictive control (MPC) of a five level dual T-type drive considering the DC link capacitor balancing, the common-mode voltage (CMV) along with torque control of an open-ends induction motor based on determining a reduced set of switching states for the MPC. The reduced set of switching states are determined by considering either CMV reduction (CMVR) or CMV elimination (CMVE). Cost function minimization generates a voltage vector, which is used to produce gating signals for the converter switches. The reduced switching state MPC significantly reduces computation time and improves MPC performance.

  • Publication number: 20230140907
Abstract: A system, method and computer program determine estimated sensor data using time-series projection. The system comprises processing circuitry configured to obtain a plurality of samples of sensor data of the sensor. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain information on a time offset between the sensor data of the sensor and a reference time. The processing circuitry is configured to perform a time-series projection based on the plurality of samples of the sensor data. The time-series projection is performed using an auto-regressive statistical model. The processing circuitry is configured to determine an estimate of the sensor data for the reference time based on the time-series projection and based on the time offset between the sensor data and the reference time. Thus, the time-series projection may be used to bridge the time offset between the sensor data of the sensor and the reference time.
