  • Patent number: 7104687
Abstract: An X-ray diagnosis apparatus is disclosed which includes two different cooling circuits and a single cooling portion. A first heat transfer medium is circulated for absorbing heat generated in the X-ray generator. A second heat transfer medium is circulated for absorbing the heat generated in the planer type X-ray detector. A heat exchanger is provided for exchanging heat between the first heat transfer medium and the second heat transfer medium. The cooling portion is coupled to the cooling circuit carrying the second heat transfer medium in order to cool the second heat transfer medium.

  • Patent number: 6487275
Abstract: An X-ray tube which is high in brightness and high in resolution, and can withstand continuous long-time use, that is, it can withstand a high heat load. An X-ray target and an X-ray tube having the X-ray target include an X-ray generating metal layer having an average crystal grain diameter not larger than 30 &mgr;m on the surface of a base plate in the X-ray irradiated side. The X-ray tube has a small focus point and can withstand a high input load. A CT apparatus using the X-ray tube can provide a high resolution and a high definition image.

  • Patent number: 6458295
Abstract: A novel phosphor represented by the general formula (Gd1−xCex)3Al5−yGayO12 (wherein x and y are values falling in the ranges of 0.0005≦x≦0.02, and 0<y<5.) was provided. The phosphor has a high luminous efficiency when Al and Ga are coexistent in the Gd-system phosphor. In particular, the phosphor with the Ga content (y) in the range of 2-3 has a luminous efficiency of twice the conventional phosphor. A radiation detector using this phosphor as ceramic scintillator is capable of obtaining a high luminous output and a very small afterglow.

  • Patent number: 6340436
Abstract: A phosphor represented by the general formula (L1-x-y-z-dEuxCezM′d)2O2S (wherein L is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Gd, La and Y, M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Tb and Pr, M′ is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr and Zn, and x, y, z and d are values falling in the ranges of 0.001≦×≦0.06, 0<y≦12×10−5, 0<z≦12×10−5, and 0≦d≦2.5×10−4) and manufactured by the hot hydrostatic pressing method. The phosphor has a high light permeability, a high luminous efficacy and a reduced after-glow. A radiation detector comprising a combination of this phosphor with silicon photodiode has an excellent wave length matching capability, is capable of obtaining a high luminous output, and is suitably used as an X-ray detector of an X-ray CT unit or the like.

  • Patent number: 4878820
Abstract: A screw compressor comprises a casing and a pair of male and female rotors respectively having herical teeth and grooves formed in their outer peripheries. The rotors are arranged within the casing in meshing relation to each other through the teeth and grooves. Each rotor is rotatably supported by a pair of first and second radial plain bearings and a thrust plain bearing which is arranged at an end of the rotor shaft and adjacent the second radial plain bearing. Each of the thrust plain bearings is of dynamic-pressure type in which with rotation of a corresponding one of the shafts of the respective rotors, pressure is applied to lubricant by sliding movement of the thrust plain bearing to produce an anti-thrust force.

  • Patent number: 4508396
Abstract: A method of producing a bearing component such as an inner ring, an outer ring and rolling elements having a solid lubricant on a frictional surface part thereof, which comprises a step of forming a coating of a material on a frictional surface part of a metal substrate, the solubilities of the coating material in the substrate metal and in the solid lubricant being higher than the mutual solubility of the substrate metal and the solid lubricant, a step of providing on a surface part of the coating a solid lubricant consisting of a metallic material having a low solubility in the substrate metal, and a step of maintaining the solid lubricant, the coating and the metal substrate for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature of below the lower one of the maximum operating temperature of the bearing component and the melting point of the solid lubricant so as to induce mutual diffusion between the metal substrate, the coating and the solid lubricant, thereby increasing the bonding strength be

  • Patent number: 4433432
Abstract: A rotary anode X-ray tube accommodated in a housing together with oil has a journal box fixed and inwardly extending inside the tube, an anode target fixed to a rotor supported by the journal box and a cathode member opposing the anode target and fixed at an end portion inside the tube opposing the journal box. The fixing portion between the rotary anode X-ray tube and the journal box is supported by a resilient support member on the housing and vibration damping means is disposed on the support member. The vibration damping means includes a moving member fixed at its center and a fixed member fixed to the housing so as to encompass the moving member with a predetermined gap, and oil is fully charged in the gap. Vibration of the rotation system is transmitted to the moving member and the operation of this member damps the vibration by means of the squeeze action of the oil.
