  • Patent number: 9059408
Abstract: A hexacene derivative is described, being expressed by formula (1): wherein X1-X6 denote the presence or absence of a carbonyl bridge [—C(?O)—], with a proviso that at least one of X1-X6 is a carbonyl bridge while any six-member ring absent of a carbonyl bridge is aromatic. A method for forming hexacene is also described, including: thermally treating the hexacene derivative to expel volatile units of CO from the hexacene derivative.

  • Patent number: 8986263
Abstract: A catheter with a valve is disclosed that allows smooth flow of a solution in-both when a solution is flowing from the inside of a catheter towards the outside of a catheter and when a solution is flowing from the outside of a catheter towards the inside of a catheter. The catheter includes a tubular body 12 made of an elastic and flexible synthetic resin material and is equipped with a valve having a slit 16 passing through the outer surface 12b of the tubular body. The catheter is also provided with the movable wall 15 sunken towards the inside of the tubular body 12 at an end tip member region 14 of the tubular body 12. The location where the movable wall 15 exists has a structure with differences in hardness in the thickness direction of the tubular body 12.

  • Patent number: 8226613
Abstract: A stylet is provided which makes it possible to improve the handling of a catheter while also facilitating insertion of the catheter. A catheter set having such a stylet is also provided. A stylet with a hole and a stylet without a hole include, respectively: a stylet main body; an engaging part; a film-like linking part for linking the stylet main body and the engaging part; and a soft tip end part which is provided at a tip end of the engaging part. The engaging part has a tapered tubular shape which can expand and contract thanks to an alternating arrangement of soft parts and rigid parts in the peripheral direction. The stylet main body is then pulled rearwards from a state in which the stylet with a hole and the stylet without a hole are assembled with a catheter, thereby enabling the engaging part, which can engage with the edge of the opening of the catheter, to contract in the radial direction and be withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 8132470
Abstract: A fluid flow detector includes a detector main body defining a fluid flow channel having a fluid flow detection channel positioned adjacent an upstream hole and a discharge channel positioned adjacent a downstream hole. A mobile body is positioned within the fluid flow channel and dimensioned to be movable along the fluid flow channel. The diameter of the fluid flow detection channel is smaller than the diameter of the discharge channel, and the maximum diameter of the outer peripheral edge part of the face of the fluid flow channel orthogonal to the direction of movement of the mobile body is slightly smaller than the diameter of the fluid flow detection channel. The upstream hole and the downstream hole are formed with a size and shape such that fluid can flow through the upstream and downstream holes without being obstructed by the mobile body.

  • Publication number: 20110130629
Abstract: An endoscope cover fixing device to reliably fix a cover to an endoscope without associated damage. The endoscope cover fixing device includes a fixing device main body and a pair of fixing protrusion portions. The fixing device main body includes a curved portion and insert holes, and is deformable in the direction in which the bend amount increases. The pair of fixing protrusion portions, which have contact surfaces, are provided to protrude from a concave surface side of the fixing device main body and are disposed in two opposing regions of the concave surface. The contact surfaces are disposed in parallel with a fixed distance therebetween. During deformation of the fixing device main body, the pair of fixing protrusion portions move in parallel in opposing directions. As a result, the contact surfaces contact opposing positions on the outer circumferential surface of the endoscope by way of the cover.
