  • Patent number: 5009936
Abstract: A method for forming a transparent multilayer is described, using a wet-on-wet process in which first a transparent acrylic copolymer paint A and then a transparent fluorine-containing polymer paint B comprising the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents a fluorine atom or chlorine atom, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 each represents represents a hydrogenatom, hydroxyalkyl group, or carboxyalkyl group, are applied on a conventional finish coating. The method produces a protective multilayer consisting of a paint A layer to improve adhesion and a paint B layer to improve weatherability on the conventional finish coatings.

  • Patent number: 4856477
Abstract: A throttle control system has means for coupling an accelerator position detector to a throttle servo system which drives a throttle valve to an angular position corresponding to the accelerator position detected by the accelerator position detector in normal mode throttle angle control. The system also has means for returning the throttle valve to an initial and fully closed position when operational force for the accelerator is released or when failure of the throttle servo system is detected. This throttle returning means is operable independently of the accelerator position detector in throttle returning operation for providing quicker response which is particularly required in fail-safe mode operation.

  • Patent number: 4800773
Abstract: An accelerator cable arrangement through which an accelerator pedal and an engine carburetor are mechanically connected. The accelerator cable arrangement is composed of a cylindrical housing which is securely connected at its one end section with a pedal lever carrying the accelerator pedal. An accelerator cable passes through an opening formed in the housing end section and is securely connected to an engaging member which is movably disposed inside the cylindrical housing and elastically supported to the inner wall surface of the cylindrical housing, thereby preventing the engaging member from projecting backward and hanging down.

  • Patent number: 4773278
Abstract: An engagement arrangement for mechanically connecting an accelerator cable leading to an engine carburetor and an accelerator pedal to be depressed by a driver. The engagement arrangement consists of an engagement member provided at one end section of the accelerator cable and is supported through a guide collar by a pedal lever with the accelerator pedal in such a manner that the accelerator cable passes through a through-hole of the pedal lever. A vibration insulating member made of an elastomeric material is secured to the pedal lever and located on the opposite side of the pedal lever from the engagement member. The accelerator cable passes through a through-hole of the insulating member in such a manner as to be in contact with the wall surface the through-hole, thereby damping vibration transmitted from the engine through the accelerator cable.
