  • Publication number: 20230326600
Abstract: The present application relates to processor-implemented methods for determining a diagnostic outcome comprising receiving signals generated by an array of electro-chemical sensors in solution with a biological sample from a subject, each sensor of the array of electro-chemical sensors configured to generate a signal in response to one or more amplification reactions occurring in the solution, the one or more amplification reactions being indicative of the presence of an RNA host-response; processing the signals received from the array of electro-chemical sensors; based on the processing, assigning at least one value to the sample, the at least one value being indicative of a likelihood of the diagnostic outcome; based on the at least one assigned value, determining the diagnostic outcome.

  • Patent number: 11248259
Abstract: A method of identifying a subject having a bacterial infection, which includes discriminating said subject from a subject having a viral infection or an inflammatory disease. Also provided is a gene signature employed in the method and to a bespoke gene chip for use in the method. Further provided are probes and/or primers specific to genes in a signature of the present disclosure.

  • Publication number: 20210246506
Abstract: A method of identifying a subject having Kawasaki disease (KD), which includes discriminating the subject from a subject having another condition, for example other infectious and inflammatory conditions, such as those that present similar symptoms to KD. Also provided is a minimal gene signature employed in the method, as well as primers, probes and gene chips for use in the method.
