  • Publication number: 20240121810
Abstract: Aspects provided herein to provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions to eliminate overlapping spectrum interference. The method begins with assigning a first portion of contiguous spectrum to a first user equipment. A second portion of contiguous spectrum is assigned to a second user equipment. The first portion of contiguous spectrum and the second portion of contiguous spectrum overlap at least partially. Based on the partial overlap, the first user equipment is instructed to communicate on the first portion of contiguous spectrum using a first code and the second user equipment is instructed to communicate on the second portion of contiguous spectrum using a second code. The use of the first code and the second code eliminate interference in the partial overlapping spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20240121743
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for enhanced multi-satellite downlink connectivity. Each of two or more extraterrestrial base stations communicate data in a downlink to a single user equipment (UE). Encoding each downlink with a different and orthogonal code permits the re-use of at least partially overlapping frequency resources without intra-channel interference. The separated data streams can be used either to provide additional redundancy when the same data is communicated on each stream or to increase throughput when at least partially different data is communicated on each stream.

  • Patent number: 11943171
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically assigning physical resource blocks (PRBs) based on available bandwidth. At least a first amount of bandwidth that is carrier controlled is determined. A standardized bandwidth that is greater than the first amount of bandwidth is determined. A bandwidth differential is determined as the difference between he standardized bandwidth and the first amount of bandwidth. Then, PRBs are assigned corresponding to the first amount of bandwidth while zero PRBs are assigned to the bandwidth differential.

  • Publication number: 20240049184
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein the dynamically select a special subframe used in communication between a cell site and a user equipment (UE). The method begins with determining radio interference metrics for a cell site being used for communication with a UE. A time of flight metric is also determined for the cell site. Based on the radio interference metrics and the time of flight metrics, a gap in a special subframe is adjusted. • Publication number: 20240031865
Abstract: Data load allocation in a wireless network is provided herein. The system includes a user equipment (UE) and a cell. The method begins with determining radio condition metrics for a plurality of cells used for communication between the plurality of cells and the UE. A congestion metric is also determined for each cell of the plurality of cells. The radio condition metrics and the congestion metric for each cell of the plurality of cells is input to a neural network and a deep learning module. Based on the radio condition metrics and the congestion metric for each of the plurality of cells and the output from at least one of the neural network and the deep learning module, a first fraction of a data load is allocated to a first cell of the plurality of cells. A scheduler then schedules the first fraction of the data load for transmission.

  • Publication number: 20230413067
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing multi-user PDCCH beamforming. This enables a single beam to provide coverage to multiple users. Initially, a first signal is communicated by a node configured to wirelessly communicate with one or more UEs to a first UE of the one or more UEs. The first signal includes a first orthogonal code. A second signal is communicated by the node configured to wirelessly communicate with the one or more UEs to a second UE of the one or more UE. The second signal includes a second orthogonal code. Importantly, the first signal and the second signal are communicated by the node via a single beam. By utilizing the orthogonal codes, the node and UEs are able to distinguish and interpret the appropriate signals provided by the single beam.

  • Publication number: 20230388057
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically activating and deactivating hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ). The system includes a base station, user equipment (UE), and a processor. The method provides for determining a first signal quality measurement for the signal quality between the base station and the UE. The first signal quality measurement is then compared with a predetermined signal quality threshold. If the first signal quality measurement is below the predetermined signal quality threshold the UE is directed to activate HARQ. If the first signal quality measurement is above the predetermined signal quality threshold the UE is directed to deactivate HARQ if HARQ is currently active.

  • Publication number: 20230319520
Abstract: A wireless access node serves wireless communication devices over a radio channel that is allocated into subchannels for wireless network slices. The wireless access node determines the wireless network slices used by the wireless communication devices. The wireless access node schedules resource blocks in the subchannels for the wireless network slices to the wireless communication devices based on the wireless network slices used by the wireless communication devices. The wireless access node wirelessly exchanges user data with the wireless communication devices over the scheduled resource blocks in the subchannels for the wireless network slices. The wireless access node re-sizes the subchannels for the wireless network slices based on time-of-day.
