    Abstract: A sensing device includes a plurality of sensing electrodes arranged in the row and column directions to detect a close object, a plurality of wirings connected to each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, a sensing circuit connected to the plurality of wirings and detecting voltage values of a plurality of sensing electrodes in a plurality of sensing periods and a calculation circuit calculating a position of the close object in proximity using the voltage values detected by the sensing circuit. The sensing circuit uses a set of sensing electrodes adjacent to each other in row and column direction as a sensing unit, sets the plurality of sensing periods consecutively, and changes the sensing electrodes included in the sensing unit to be different by one row in the row direction or one column for each sensing periods.
