  • Publication number: 20240097489
Abstract: A device housing is provided for wirelessly receiving electric power in order to supply electric power to a device with an excellent power-receiving efficiency, while suppressing an increase in its size as a whole. Also, a device having the same device housing and a device housing for constituting a main body of a device which is a sensor or an actuator are provided. The device housing is provided with a power-receiving device for mainly generating an electric field or a magnetic field for performing wireless power supply. The power-receiving device includes at least one of a dipole antenna, a slot antenna, a monopole antenna, a chip antenna and an inverted-F antenna. The device housing has a size in a three-dimensional space, and expansion of its size in the three-dimensional space due to the provision of the power-receiving devices is substantially limited to one axis direction (X-axis direction) at most.

  • Patent number: 5991449
Abstract: An image memory outputs a target encoding pixel and a plurality of reference pixels in the vicinity thereof. A boundary mode determining unit determines a maximum value and a minimum value of the reference pixels, determines an average value of the maximum value and the minimum value, compares the respective reference pixel values with the average value, detects a boundary in the target encoding pixel and the reference pixels based on comparison results, and detects a pixel distribution state of the reference pixels based on the detected boundary. An adaptive predictor calculates a prediction value by performing a calculation based on a function corresponding to the pixel distribution state and the reference pixels. A prediction difference calculating unit determines a difference value between the prediction value and a value of the target encoding pixel.

  • Patent number: 5918156
Abstract: A satellite communication system broadcasts an information signal from a transmitting station to a plurality of receiving stations via a communication satellite. An answer station is provided among a plurality of receiving stations which are located in a predetermined geographical area. The answer station and the plurality of receiving stations in the designated group are connected by a ground data link. The answer station collects status data of each of the receiving stations to transmit an answer signal to the transmitting station on behalf of the group of receiving stations, so that a transmitting function for each of the receiving stations can be eliminated. The answer station can also act as one of the receiving stations in the designated group.

  • Patent number: 5426642
Abstract: A satellite broadcast communication system which makes a communication via a communication satellite comprises N sub stations respectively assigned a time slot having a predetermined time width T.sub.0, where N is an integer greater than one, and a main station including a broadcast part for broadcasting broadcast information to the N sub station via the communication satellite using a reference frame which has a time width N.times.T.sub.0, a part for receiving a reception acknowledge signal from the sub stations, and a part for setting a multi-frame to a predetermined value. The predetermined value is M.times.T.sub.0 when only M sub stations are subject to reception of the broadcast information, N/M is an integer and M.ltoreq.N, and the predetermined value is M.sub.1 .times.T.sub.0 when only M sub stations are subject to reception of the broadcast information, N/M is not an integer and M.sub.1 is an integer greater than M.

  • Patent number: 4471162
Abstract: A coordinate reading apparatus for reading positions on a tablet, having magnetic-field generating coils, with a magnetic-field detector. The magnetic-field detector produces an analog electric signal corresponding to a desired position to be read on the tablet in response to the magnetic fields induced by the magnetic-field generating coils. The analog electric signal generated by the detector is composed of both a fundamental wave component signal and an n-th order harmonic wave component signal (n being an integer equal to or larger than 2). A processing unit for receiving the analog electric signal from the magnetic-field detector and produces coordinate data corresponding to the desired position to beread on the tablet by analyzing a first rotating magnetic-field vector induced by the fundamental wave component signal and a second rotating magnetic-field vector induced by the n-th order harmonic wave component signal.

  • Patent number: 4204011
Abstract: A method of driving or permeating a powdery material into a porous material such as an open-cell cellular material or a fabric, of a type having an open-celled structure, that is, having interconnected cells. Permeation of the powdery material into the porous material is carried out by spreading a mass of powdery particles on one surface of the porous material and applying vibrations to the powdery particles through a vibrating element in contact with the particles so as to cause the particles to be uniformly distributed in the porous material. The frequency and amplitude of the vibrations are selected so as to minimize scattering of the powdery material, and are within the ranges of 50 to 50,000 Hz, and 50 to 1,500 .mu.m, respectively.
