  • Patent number: 11003312
Abstract: A program causes a computer to perform determining a display size for each icon image by scaling each icon image with a length-to-width ratio thereof being maintained such that icon images associated with each row are equal in display height in each row in a menu region and by scaling the icon images as a whole associated with each row at an identical ratio such that a width of the row as a whole obtained by scaling each icon image associated with each row is set to a prescribed length, and showing the menu image in which icons of which icon images are shown with corresponding sizes are arranged for each row.

  • Patent number: 10610772
Abstract: A game system includes a plurality of pedometers. The plurality of step count data respectively counted by the plurality of pedometers are acquired in the game apparatus. In the game apparatus, by utilizing the plurality of step count data, a predetermined arithmetic operation is executed, and the result of the arithmetic operation is reflected on the game. Alternatively, in a server, a predetermined arithmetic operation is executed by utilizing the plurality of step count data, and the result of the arithmetic operation is reflected on the game in the game apparatus. For example, game processing depending on the number of players walking in the same time slot is executed, or game processing according to the totalized value of the accumulated total step count values of the plurality of pedometers is executed.

  • Patent number: 10350497
Abstract: When a data transfer process is started, a state in which a plurality of character objects lift an icon object in a three-dimensional virtual space, and carry the icon object from a start point toward a completion point in the three-dimensional virtual space, according to a degree of progress of the data transfer process, is displayed. At this time, a display range is sequentially shifted according to the degree of progress of the data transfer process so as to constantly display the icon object on a screen.

  • Patent number: 8311768
Abstract: A step count measuring system includes a pedometer and a step count managing apparatus which are able to communicate with each other. In the pedometer, a step count value sequentially detected for each unit of time is stored, and a time counted in the pedometer is stored as first time data by being brought into associated with each of the step count values. When a battery is replaced in the pedometer, a reset is executed to start initialization processing, and the time stored as first time data is stored as second time data which can be discriminated from the first time data. A recording time of each of the step count values being associated with the first time data before the initialization processing is set on the basis of the time counted by the step count managing apparatus, and a recording time of each of the step count values being associated with the second time data after the initialization processing is set on the basis of the second time data.

  • Publication number: 20120066334
Abstract: A game system includes game apparatuses and a server. The one game apparatus has a first memory storing a software program being made up of a program and save data, the other game apparatus has a second memory capable of additionally storing a software program, and the server has a third memory storing a program. The one game apparatus transmits the save data in the first memory to the other game apparatus by utilizing a local communication, and the server transmits the program in the third memory to the other game apparatus by utilizing Wi-Fi communications. The other game apparatus receives the save data and then the program, and additionally stores them in the second memory as a software program.

  • Patent number: 7104891
Abstract: A partial shadow volume having a predetermined height defined by a contour of a character object and light coming from a light source is formed based on undulations of a land object, and is then stored in advance in a DVD-ROM or the like. A CPU reads this partial shadow volume for placing the partial shadow volume at a point of intersection of the land object and a line extending from character object placement coordinates to a light direction. The placed partial shadow volume is rendered by using the stencil buffer. Based on values in the stencil buffer, a shadow of the character object cast on the land object is rendered. Thus, a realistic shadow can be rendered with a reduced processing load for shadow rendering processing.

Abstract: A partial shadow volume having a predetermined height defined by a contour of a character object and light coming from a light source is formed based on undulations of a land object, and is then stored in advance in a DVD-ROM 300 or the like. A CPU 10 reads this partial shadow volume for placing the partial shadow volume at a point of intersection of the land object and a line extending from character object placement coordinates to a light direction. The placed partial shadow volume is rendered by using the stencil buffer 16. Based on values in the stencil buffer 16, a shadow of the character object cast on the land object is rendered. Thus, a realistic shadow can be rendered with processing load required for shadow rendering processing being reduced.
