  • Publication number: 20240090031
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that enable protecting a higher priority radio technology (e.g., 3GPP New Radio (NR) or NR in Unlicensed spectrum (NR-U)) when co-existing with an unlicensed radio technology (e.g., the Wi-Fi wireless network technology) operating in the same frequency band. In one embodiment, a method of operation of a radio access node of radio access network of a cellular communications system comprises transmitting a Request to Send (RTS) frame within a Time Division Duplexing (TDD) radio frame on a cell served by the radio access node in an unlicensed frequency band. The method further comprises transmitting a downlink transmission to a wireless communication device or receiving an uplink transmission from the wireless communication device, on the cell served by the radio access node in the unlicensed spectrum during a period of time that corresponds to a duration of time indicated in the RTS frame.

  • Publication number: 20230254919
Abstract: A system for multi-link transmission in a wireless network having multiple nodes. Each node defines a corresponding coverage area and is configured to perform operations in the wireless network. The system has a device configured to transition between nodes and corresponding coverage areas and perform operations in the wireless network, a controller causing transmission of data between the device and a set of nodes using a multi-link connection. The multi-link includes a first transmission link and a second transmission link associating the device with the node set. The controller causes transmission of data over the first transmission link and/or the second transmission link. The same frequency and same cell identifier is allocated to the node set for transmission of data in the first transmission link. Different cell identifiers are allocated to respective node in the node set for transmission of data in the second transmission link.

  • Patent number: 11522646
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a transmitter circuitry, a receiver circuitry, and a processing circuitry. The transmitter circuitry transmits a first data frame including first data to a destination apparatus. The receiver circuitry receives first acknowledgment information indicative of a reception state of the first data included in the first data frame. The receiver circuitry receives second acknowledgment information indicative of a reception state of the first data included in a second data frame. The second data frame is transmitted from another electronic apparatus to the destination apparatus. The processing circuitry determines whether the first data frame is retransmitted, based on at least one of the first and second acknowledgment information.

  • Publication number: 20220361243
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for energy detection in unlicensed spectrum. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a radio node includes determining a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) value; and listen-before-talk (LBT) parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or the LBT parameter settings for one or more LBT parameters depending on an energy detection (ED) threshold value used to access a channel in an unlicensed spectrum; and performing a LBT procedure to gain access to the channel and a transmission on the channel according to the LBT parameter settings and the MCOT value. In one embodiment, a method in a network node includes configuring a wireless device with a MCOT value and LBT parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or LBT parameter settings depending on an ED threshold value used at the wireless device to access the channel.
