  • Patent number: 6024230
Abstract: An auxiliary display assembly for a merchandising display unit is provided. In one application, the auxiliary display assembly is adapted to releasably attach to an upright support member of the gondola display unit and includes first and second cantilever members which are interconnected by an otherwise free standing vertical member. The vertical member is formed to include a plurality of apertures which are adapted to receive a peg member. The auxiliary display assembly is constructed such that the peg member is ultimately positioned substantially parallel to and spaced apart from a wall portion of the gondola display unit. In one form, the vertical member is rotationally attached to the first and second cantilever members. In alternative constructions, the peg members may be integrally formed with the vertical member and the first and second cantilever members include first and second telescopically related parts.

  • Patent number: 5775504
Abstract: A merchandising package of the type adapted to be displayed from a hanger includes a first elongated portion adapted to accommodate a first of the plurality of products for retail sale and a second elongated portion adapted to accommodate a second of the plurality of products for retail sale. The first and second elongated portions each include first and second laterally spaced apart edges. An intermediate portion interconnects the first and second elongated portions. In one form, the intermediate portion includes a single predetermined fold line. The predetermined fold line being operative for enabling the first and second elongated portions to be oriented substantially parallel to each other. The merchandising package also includes a first header portion longitudinally extending from the first elongated portion. The first header portion laterally extends beyond the first and second spaced apart edges of the first elongated portion.

  • Patent number: 5477870
Abstract: A double sided barrette having a pair of support members, a clasp, a hair gripping mechanism and a pair of decorative members is provided. The pair of support members are coupled to one another by a hinge such that the support members can pivot between open and closed positions. When in a closed position, the clasp operably engages these support members and maintains them in a releasably fixed relationship with respect to one another. The hair gripping mechanism is disposed between the support members such that strands of hair engaged by the gripping mechanism are spaced from the support members. The decorative members are individually attached to the support members in order to conceal the support members and provide an ornamental appearance to both sides of the barrette.
