Abstract: A terminal extending from a wiring member to face an electrode of a piezoelectric element and including a proximal end part and a distal end part with respect to the wiring member, the distal end part being connected to the electrode of the piezoelectric element through a conductive adhesive, comprising an insulating layer that faces the electrode of the piezoelectric element; a wiring layer laid on the insulating layer and connected to the electrode at the distal end part; and at least one liquid stopping recess provided on a surface facing the electrode at the proximal end part, the liquid stopping recess spanning between both edges of the insulating layer in an direction intersecting an extending direction of the proximal end part.

Abstract: A tension balancer is disposed between an overhead line and a support, and maintains the tension of the overhead line. The tension balancer has an outer housing, an inner movable portion, a coil spring, and a pivotable connection portion. The outer housing is pivotably supported at the lower end by the support. The inner movable portion is inserted through the outer housing, protrudes from the upper end of the outer housing, and can extend and retract. The coil spring is housed within the outer housing and presses the inner movable portion so that the inner movable portion retracts. The pivotable connection portion has a fulcrum which is pivotably supported by the support, a movable-portion connecting point to which the upper end of the inner movable portion is connected, and an overhead line connecting portion to which the overhead line is connected.

Abstract: A discrimination medium, which can have much information, can be produced on a small scale at low cost, and enables change of a sticker design at low cost, is provided. The discrimination medium includes an optically transparent first substrate on which a cholesteric liquid crystal layer is formed, the cholesteric liquid crystal layer being formed with a fine asperity used for displaying a hologram, an optically transparent second substrate on which a print layer is formed, the print layer having a predetermined pattern made of ink and having a transparent portion without the ink of the pattern around the pattern, the pattern reflecting or absorbing a light of a predetermined wavelength, and a transparent adhesive layer,wherein the optically transparent first substrate, the optically transparent second substrate, and the transparent adhesive layer, are disposed in turn from a side checked visually.

Abstract: A clutch plate in an annular shape, the clutch plate includes: a plurality of lubricating grooves on one end face and the other end face of the clutch plate in an axial direction; and a plurality of windows passing through the clutch plate in the axial direction. The lubricating grooves are formed with plastic deformation, in a same phase on both the end faces, and extended up to outer peripheral edges and inner peripheral edges of both the end faces. A plurality of intersection points where the lubricating grooves intersect with each other are positioned in other areas than at least one of the outer peripheral edges, radially outer edges of the windows, radially inner edges of the windows, and the inner peripheral edges, of both the end faces.

Air introduced into the air gap forms an air layer. The slit extends longitudinally relative to the interleaved circuit along at least a part of the branch conductors.

The second branch conductors are covered by the second cover resin layer.

Abstract: A cutting jig is used in a method of reworking a head suspension which removes a slider from the head suspension by pressing a blade from a first side toward a second side in a longitudinal direction of the slider to solder ball bonding, stopping the second side of the slider in the longitudinal direction with a holding mechanism, and forcing the blade to bite and cut the solder ball bonding to remove the slider from the flexure. The cutting jig includes a cutting mechanism configured to press a blade to the bonding material from the first side toward the second side in the longitudinal direction of the slider, and a holding mechanism stopping the second side of the slider in the longitudinal direction when the blade is pressed to the bonding material.

Abstract: A method manufactures a head suspension by laser-welding the flexure to the load beam at a first welding spot so that a tongue is pressed against a convex portion under predetermined load. The method includes step of forming, before joining the flexure and load beam together, at least one positioning reference hole in each of the flexure and load beam within a circular range that is defined around the first welding spot with a radius equal to a distance between the first welding spot and the projection, laying the flexure and load beam one on another, inserting reference pin into the reference holes, and laser-welding the flexure and load beam to each other at the first welding spot.

Abstract: A cylindrical boss portion is press-formed on a baseplate of a disk drive suspension. The boss portion is penetrated by a ball insertion hole relative to the thickness of the baseplate. The baseplate is formed of stainless steel. A chemically-polished surface is formed on an inner circumferential wall of the ball insertion hole by chemically polishing the baseplate after heat-treating it. The boss portion is inserted into a mounting hole of an actuator arm. A ball having a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the ball insertion hole is passed through the ball insertion hole. As the diameter of the boss portion is enlarged by the ball, the boss portion is fixed to the actuator arm.

The main frame has a first open portion that opens toward a side with the auxiliary seat in the width direction. An end portion of the auxiliary frame is a fitting structure that fits together with the first open portion, and a portion of the fitting structure is welded.

The electrode structure also includes a non-electrode part 51 formed in the peripheral zone. Even if the peripheral zone 31a1 of the electrode forming face 31a having a short-circuit causing possibility touches the attaching part 30, no short circuit occurs.
