  • Publication number: 20090057244
Abstract: A merchandise display system for displaying items of merchandise on a support has vertically spaced first and second rods extending outwardly from the support. A time delay mechanism is mounted on the upper rod and includes a pair of pivotally mounted plates which are selectively moveable into and out of blocking engagement with the lower plate on which the items of merchandise are slidably supported. An item of merchandise is moveable past the forwardmost plate from a space between the plates for removal from a free end of the lower rod while the rearward plate prevents movement of another item of merchandise into the intervening space until the forward plate moves to the blocking position and the rear plate moves to an unblocking position. A magnetically actuated lock mechanism locks the rear plate in an adjusted linear position with respect to the front plate to adjust the intervening space.

  • Patent number: 7484389
Abstract: A security storage container has a primary security feature that is adapted to be locked and unlocked with an appropriate key. A secondary security feature is activated when the security storage container is opened without first unlocking the lock with the key. In one embodiment, the secondary security feature includes prongs that are moved to an extended position when the primary security feature of the container is defeated. In the extended position, the prongs will at least damage the item of merchandise protected by the security storage container. The extended position of the prongs may also further lock the item of merchandise within the security storage container.

  • Publication number: 20080068163
Abstract: A theft-deterrent device includes first and second members mountable on a pair of sliding doors for activating an alarm when the doors are opened, and is particularly useful with a display cabinet containing items of merchandise and having transparent sliding doors. The alarm may be mounted on the cabinet with a tether connecting the alarm and one of the first and second members. Preferably, a magnet and a magnetically activated switch are carried by the first and second members so that when the magnet moves away from the switch, an electrical circuit opens to activate the alarm. The first member is connected to one door with a portion adjacent one side of the door and a portion extending around the end of the door. The second member is connected to the other door and is preferably a thin member which fits between the doors when opened.

  • Patent number: 7137513
Abstract: A merchandise display system includes a rod lockably connected to a peg board, a hanging member hanging from the rod and a swivel member rotatably connected to the hanging member about a first axis. The swivel member is connected to a lockable display case for carrying an item of merchandise and is rotatable about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. Thus, the display case is rotatable about the first and second axes to facilitate viewing the merchandise from any angle while the case is lockably connected to the rod. The hanging and swivel members may be a ball and socket combination. Alternately, the swivel member may connect to the display case via a hinge pin about which portions of the case may rotate to open and close. Alternately, a lower member may extend from within the case through holes therein to rotatably connect to the swivel member about the second axis.

  • Patent number: 6769557
Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member and an outer member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The inner member further includes outwardly extending teeth. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle. The outer sleeve member further includes a plurality of upwardly extending arms that have inwardly projecting teeth that engage the teeth of the inner member to lock the two members together. A key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key extends down through the top of the outer sleeve member to physically engage the upwardly extending arms and to move them radially outward to where they disengage the inner member.
