  • Publication number: 20240077007
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a detection system for detecting a failure in a fluid path of a fluid system, the detection system including: at least one pipe comprising a pipe wall which defines a fluid path for the transfer of fluid and at least one electrically conductive element extending along the at least one pipe and which forms an electrical signal path for a first electrical signal which indicates a state of the at least one pipe; and, an electrical terminal electrically connected to the at least one electrically conductive element so that the first electrical signal is transmitted to the electrical terminal via the electrical signal path.

  • Patent number: 11612225
Abstract: A securing net for personal items including a mesh material having a perimeter, a border material secured to an entirety of the perimeter of the mesh material, and a plurality of securing points carried by the border material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2019
Date of Patent: March 28, 2023
    Inventors: Nicholas Schwartz, RaeJeana Schwartz
  • Patent number: 10646824
Abstract: A catalytic cookstove, for use in cooking, heating, and lighting, is disclosed for reducing particulate matter and carbon monoxide emissions. A non-platinum group metal catalyst promotes oxidation of particulate matter and carbon monoxide to produce carbon dioxide. Additionally, a passive damper automatically adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio based upon the size of fuel fed to the stove to ensure catalyst light off.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 12, 2018
Date of Patent: May 12, 2020
    Assignee: Mainsteam Engineering Corporation
Inventors: Paul E. Yelvington, Alex Paulsen, Andrew Carpenter, Tyler Kunsa, Ted Amundsen, Nicholas Schwartz

  • Patent number: 9303818
Abstract: A novel high-density hydrogen and other gas storage material has been fabricated and enhanced to provide the opportunity to use hydrogen as a predominant energy source by using hierarchical and ordered nanoporous materials to provide a solution to the shortcomings of current storage technologies. These materials consist of high aspect ratio porous templates with aligned and periodic nanocapillaries that have a tunable density, diameter, and wall thickness. Not only is the disclosed process low-cost and scalable, but catalytic fabrication of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) within the nanocapillaries is achieved, thereby yielding coaxial nanocapillary arrays for physical and adsorbed hydrogen storage with ultra-high gravimetric and volumetric hydrogen storage densities.
