Patent number: 11950098Abstract: A UE can enable a VoWIFI service, receive hidden SSID information, and register with a core network via a RAN. The UE can monitor a first signal strength of a first signal from the RAN. The UE can scan for a second signal from a WLAN, and when found, can measure a second signal strength of the second signal. The UE can determine whether the first signal strength is at or below a first threshold. If so, and if the WLAN is untrusted, the UE can probe it with the hidden SSID information. If the untrusted WLAN responds, the UE can send an access request to an untrusted WLAN access point. The UE can receive, via the untrusted WLAN access point, an authentication challenge from an ePDG. If the UE passes the authentication challenge, the UE can register with the core network via the untrusted WLAN and the ePDG.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignees: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P., AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Andrew Wood, Karen Stansbury, Nicholas Thompson

Publication number: 20240066216Abstract: A fluid delivery device has a syringe barrel with reservoir chamber for fluid, a plunger that translates along a longitudinal axis to expel fluid, and a pusher dimensioned to translate within the barrel and coupled to a drive mechanism to controllably contact and move the plunger. The pusher contacts the plunger at its mechanical center to reduce tilt in the plunger. Contact faces of the pusher and plunger cooperate as a ball joint to minimize non-axial forces on the plunger face. The pusher can have a protrusion of various lengths extending toward and being at least partially received in a recess of various depths in the plunger. The pusher is rigidly connected to a drive mechanism for anti-rotation. The pusher can have scalloped edges for air venting, and apertures for cooperating with protrusions on the drive mechanism to prevent bottoming out the plunger when filling.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2021Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventors: Alessandro PIZZOCHERO, Mark WOOD, Nicholas ANDERSON

Patent number: 11757270Abstract: A cable management apparatus can include a first surface configured for working and a second surface having a channel integrally formed into the apparatus material at the second surface. The channel can have sidewalls, extend longitudinally in a direction parallel to the second surface, have a longitudinal channel opening at the second surface along a substantial portion of the channel, and can be configured to hold a cable therein even when the channel opening faces downward. The cable may be curved within the channel to create elastic potential energy in the cable, and a friction force between the curved cable pushing against the channel sidewalls can hold the cable in place within the channel. The channel may form a cross-section having an undercut that is defined by ledge portions at the channel opening, and the ledge portions can hold the cable in place within the channel.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2021Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: e.ventures Management LLCInventors: Thomas Gieselmann, Nicholas Wood Allen

Patent number: 11481339Abstract: Memory access circuitry controls access to memory based on ownership information defining, for a given memory region, an owner realm specified from among two or more realms, each realm corresponding to at least a portion of a software processes running on processing circuitry. The owner realm has a right to exclude other realms from accessing data stored within the given memory region. When security configuration parameters for a given realm specify that the given realm is associated with a trusted intermediary realm identified by the security configuration parameters, the trusted intermediary realm may be allowed to perform at least one realm management function for the given realm, e.g. provision of secret keys and/or saving/restoring of security configuration parameters. This can enable use cases where multiple instances of the same realm with common parameters need to be established on the same system at different times or on different systems.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2019Date of Patent: October 25, 2022Assignee: Arm LimitedInventor: Nicholas Wood

Publication number: 20210303674Abstract: Memory access circuitry 26 controls access to memory based on ownership information defining, for a given memory region, an owner realm specified from among two or more realms, each realm corresponding to at least a portion of a software processes miming on processing circuitry 8. The owner realm has a right to exclude other realms from accessing data stored within the given memory region. On activation of a target realm, it is detected whether a parameter signature derived from security configuration parameters established for the target realm matches an expected signature; and in response to detecting a mismatch between the parameter signature and the expected signature, an activation restriction is applied to the target realm to prevent the activation of target realm or prevent correct functioning of the target realm following activation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2019Publication date: September 30, 2021Inventor: Nicholas WOOD

Patent number: 9774647Abstract: In an example embodiment, an indication is received via a user interface in a first mobile device to begin recording live video on the first mobile device. Then the recording of live video is begun by the first mobile device in response to the receiving of the indication. The live video is displayed in the user interface as it is being recorded. A gesture by a user of the first mobile device is detected. In response to the detection of the gesture, the broadcasting of the live video as it is being recorded to a plurality of mobile devices other than the first mobile device is begun. Then, in the user interface along with the live video, identifications of a plurality of users corresponding to the plurality of mobile device other than the first mobile device to which the live video is being broadcast are displayed.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2015Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignee: LinkedIn CorporationInventors: Bill Nguyen, Vincent Mallet, Nicholas Woods, Jessica Cheng, Sandip Chokshi, Ganesh Ramanarayanan, Megan Streich
