  • Patent number: 6553820
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device which indicates the safety limits of the air pressure in each one of the pneumatic tires of a vehicle by transmitting appropriate information from the wheels to the driving control board. Transmission of information is based on the capacitive coupling between rotating and non-rotating conductive annular surfaces (2-5, 12-19, 72-75) which are mounted into channels of insulated bases (6-9) fixed in the available space between the bearing flange, the braking system and the wheel bearings (66) and are forming cylindrical and plane capacitors. An electronic circuit incorporates these capacitors as basic elements for its operation, and also an AC bridge (20) to give an automatic compensation by measuring the differential capacitance for each pair of the wheels to avoid faulty indication due to causes like humidity, temperature, etc. Also a simple electronic circuit can be used for each one of the wheels.

  • Patent number: 5697883
Abstract: A method of inhibiting seizure activity in epileptic individuals includes determining the intensity, frequency and skull coordinates of the magnetic field emitted from the epileptic focal points of an epileptic individual. The determined frequency of the magnetic field emitted from the epileptic focal points is then generated and applied to a device which emits a magnetic field, of the intensity and frequency of the magnetic fields emitted by the epileptic focal points, to the skull of the epileptic individual at the skull coordinates of each epileptic focal point.

  • Patent number: 5531109
Abstract: A device for monitoring tire air pressure in each one of the wheels of a vehicle at any time, and providing the driver of the vehicle with a warning signal in case the pressure in any one of the vehicle's tires deviates from a normal predetermined value. The device includes a tire pressure gauge mounted onto the rotating tire, connected to a pair of air capacitors formed by four metallic annular strips, these capacitors being used as a timing capacitor in an oscillator producing two discrete frequencies depending on the ON-OFF position of the tire pressure gauge. Eventually a voltage comparator produces a square train pulse whenever its input falls below a certain level determined by a trimmer and the amplitude of the square train pulse is increased by a monostable multivibrator, the output of which drives an indicating LED to warn the vehicle's driver of the faulty air pressure in one of his tires.

  • Patent number: 5496258
Abstract: A device suitable for treating epileptic individuals to inhibit epileptic seizures is disclosed. The device utilizes information pertaining to the location and characteristics of an epileptic individual's epileptic foci as determined by a SQUID, and applies magnetic fields to the foci of an appropriate intensity and frequency to inhibit seizure activity.

  • Patent number: 5453072
Abstract: The invention is an electronic device for smoothing of dysfunctions of the central nervous system in conjunction with the use of a biomagnetometer SQUID. The device includes one generator of alternating low voltage which produces a frequency from 2 Hz to 7 Hz, and which supplies a number of selected coils of one group which consists of similar rows of coils, or a plurality of groups of similar coils arranged in rows. The device may include plural generators of alternating low voltage which each produces a frequency from 2 Hz to 7 Hz and which supply simultaneously a number of selected coils of one or more groups of similar coils arranged in rows.
