Abstract: The provision of an potential therapeutic appliance for the delivery into living organisms of highly effective negative ions similar to those found in nature; and in particular, providing a special waveform shaping device that shapes the voltage waveforms delivered to electrodes to efficiently produce negative ions, that is capable of stable performance, and that can be easily manufactured. A waveform shaping device 3 charged with an inorganic insulating powder such as pumice stone powder and a predetermined volume of moisture is disposed in series between a high voltage power supply 2 and an output terminal 12; the current output from the negative terminal of the high voltage power supply is shaped by the waveform shaping device and then delivered to the output terminal; and in a repetitive process, the charge delivered from the high voltage power supply 2 is accumulated temporarily in a terminal 4 and discharged in a burst-like manner; thus facilitating convenient action of negative ions on the human body.

Abstract: A blood test method including (a) centrifuging a mammalian blood sample into a plasma and blood cells; (b) removing buffy coats from the blood cells to obtain red blood cells containing solutes confined therewithin; (c) washing the red blood cells with a buffered physiological saline solution and isolating the washed blood cells; (d) mixing the washed red blood cells with a buffered physiological saline solution to obtain a suspended liquid; (e) centrifuging the suspended liquid to remove a supernatant and to obtain a red blood layer; (f) mixing the red blood layer with a hypertonic solution and maintaining the resulting suspension at a temperature of 25 to 40° C.

By taking the above drugs or foods, effects of preventing or treating liver diseases, hyperlipemia and/or diabetes can be exhibited. These drugs and foods are highly efficacious and can be easily taken without any fear of side effects.

Abstract: A curative device for promoting healing of a subject is disclosed which includes a housing having an open end, an infrared lamp secured within the housing and adapted to radiate infrared rays, an oxygen-containing gas source, a gas diffusing pipe disposed within the housing and having a first end connected to the oxygen-containing gas source and a second end located adjacent to the open end and oriented so that the oxygen-containing gas is emitted from the second end in the axial direction of the housing, a DC voltage source, and an electrode disposed adjacent to the second end of the gas diffusing pipe and electrically connected to the DC voltage source and adapted to form an electrostatic field in the atmosphere adjacent to the open end of the housing. When the housing is positioned such that the open end is oriented toward and spaced apart from the subject, the subject can be exposed to the electrostatic field and a flow of the oxygen-containing gas and irradiated with the infrared rays.
