    Abstract: Immediately after a clinch lever causes a clinch link to clinch the leg of a staple which penetrates sheets of paper to be stapled, a pressure by the clinch lever with respect to the clincher link is temporarily reduced by a pressure reducing unit. Therefore, a clincher moves down in a state where the clincher still receives the press-contacting force from a driver plate. Accordingly, the looseness occurs between the driver plate and the clincher link. A fixing plate becomes easy to draw out as much as the looseness. If the fixing plate is set to be drawn out at this timing, it can be simply drawn out to be moved to the initial position.

    Abstract: A refill for staples, which can not be removed from a cartridge unless all sheet-type connected staples in a stapler body are delivered. A refill for staples is installed in a detachable manner in a stapler body, and includes a refill body which holds the sheet-type connected staples, and a pressing member which presses the sheet-type connected staples. A delivery port delivering the sheet-type connected staples and a locking plate provided with a locking section which locks a locked section in the stapler body are formed in the refill body. When the sheet-type connected staples are pressed, the pressing member is engaged with the locking plate not to allow rotation of the locking plate, and, when the sheet-type connected staples are not pressed, the pressing member is disengaged from the locking plate to allow rotation of the locking plate. Thereby, the locking section of the locking plate can be removed from the locked section in the stapler body.

The driver engages the staple and drives leg portions of the staple through the material to be bound. The cut surface forms an obtuse angle where the cut surface and an outer surface of the leg portions meet each other. The clincher bends the leg portions of the staple after the leg portions piercing the material to be bound are cut.

    Abstract: In the left-and-right-direction center of the bottom portion of a staple loading chamber 5, there is formed an opening 6, the left-and-right-direction central portion of the upper surface of a staple guide table 7 is exposed through the opening 6, and on the two left and right sides of the opening 6, there are formed staple guide grooves 9L and 9R which respectively communicate with the staple guide table 7. A belt with a tab portion is bonded to and wound on a roll staple. If the roll staple with the belt is inserted into the staple loading chamber 5, a front lid 2 is closed and the belt is pulled forwardly while holding the tab portion thereof, then the belt comes loose, so that the front portion of the roll staple is guided into the staple guide grooves 9L and 9R and is then fed to a position located in front of the staple guide table 7. If the tab portion of the belt is pulled further, then the belt is peeled off the front portion of the roll staple, which completes the loading of the roll staple.
